Breakthrough through obedience.

Breakthrough through obedience

Genesis  26:1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.  26:2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:  26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

It is in your own interest to do whatever the Lord has said, no matter, how hopeless the situation might be.

There was famine and God instructed Isaac to remain in the place of famine.

He obeyed as Lord commanded.

Gen  26:6 And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:

But then, Isaac began to work as if, there was no famine, knowing fully that, God blesses only what you are doing.

Psalms  1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

You must learn to follow the example of Isaac.

Whatever situation you find yourself,  do exactly what the Lord has commanded.

Blessings always follow obedience.

Genesis  22:15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,  22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:  22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;  22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

God blessed and rewarded Isaac for obeying Him and doing his work.

Gen 26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.  26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:  26:14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Remember, God remains the same even today.

Malachi  3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrews  13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Endeavor to be obedient to God in all things and at all times.

Work with your hands and even you will experience the same miracle of desired breakthrough like Isaac did in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
