Romans  4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.  4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:  4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;  4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Some times, God’s people are confronted by challenges that seems insurmountable.  A good example was  Abraham who obeyed God and left his family to  a place God shewed him.

Genesis  12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:  12:4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

After his departure, he had no child for more than two decades.

Genesis  15:2 And Abram said, LORD God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

But then, he trusted God’s promise, till God gave him Isaac..

Genesis  21:1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.  21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.  21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

That is the exact attitude, God expects from all Bible believing believers of all ages and you in particular.

Whenever, you are confronted with any challenge trust God and patiently wait for Him.

This was the attitude of Moses, Peter did Paul when they experienced fierce challenges.

1. Moses and Israel before the Red Sea.

Exodus  14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.  14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.  14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:  14:16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.  14:17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.  14:18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.  14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.  14:22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.  14:23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.  14:24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,  14:25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.  14:26 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.  14:27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.  14:28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.  14:29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.  14:30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.  14:31 And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.

2. Peter’s deliverance from the death plot of king Herod.

Acts  12:1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.  12:2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.  12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)  12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.  12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.  12:6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.  12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.  12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.  12:9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.  12:10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.  12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

3. Paul apostle inside fourteen days storm brought by the devil to hinder him from Getting to Rome.

Acts  27:18 And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;  27:19 And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship.  27:20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.  27:21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.  27:22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship.  27:23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,  27:24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.  27:25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.  27:27 But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country;  27:28 And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.  27:29 Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day.  27:30 And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,  27:33 And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing.  27:34 Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.  27:35 And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat.  27:36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.  27:37 And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls.  27:38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.  27:39 And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship.  27:40 And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.  27:41 And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.  27:42 And the soldiers’ counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.  27:43 But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:  27:44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.

The three triumphed through the unfailing and timely help of God.

Psalms  46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Since God has not changed. What He did for them, He will do same for you in your present challenges in Jesus name.

Malachi  3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrews  13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Continue to trust Him and patiently wait for His good timing.

Hebrews  6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
