God’s counsel for the hopeless.

God’s counsel for the hopeless

John  5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.  5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.  5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.  5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.  5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.  5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?  5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.  5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.  5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

John  5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

This man had health challenges that had been there for thirty eight years.

He had lost all hope of recovery because of the severity of the challenges.and it’s longstanding.

Our Master and Lord Jesus Christ took the initiative to heal him and also counselled him on what to do to avoid relapsing of the sickness.

Remember this, God that healed him has not changed.

Malachi  3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrews  13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

He is still able to do same and even beyond.

Ephesians  3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Nothing is too hard for Him to do for you too.

Jeremiah  32:17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:  32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

He remain good and full of mercies.

Psalms  100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Like Jesus counselled that man, He wants even you to know that, sometimes,  sin is the root cause of the sickness and diseases. They might be longstanding or incurable, sin sometimes is the root cause.

Psalms  107:17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.  107:18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

To receive His healing and deliverances, you must be willing to do away with sin completely and   entirely.

2 Chronicles  7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Never fall into despondency thinking God has forgotten you. He never did. It was Jesus Himself that saw that man with thirty eight years infirmity and healed him.

Isaiah  49:14 But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.  49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.  49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

The Lord is willing to do same and even more for you.

Psalms  34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.  34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.  34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Turn to Him wholeheartedly in prevailing prayers and this challenge will surely turn to testimonies in Jesus name.

Psalms  62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

This morning, God is set to visit you and turn your challenges to testimonies.

Luke  21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

Let us pray.
