Condition for effortless healings through Christ.
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Matthew 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
One unfailing condition of receiving healing from our Lord Jesus Christ is to manifest a humble spirit.
No wonder the Bible says blessed are the poor or humble, not proud in the Spirit
Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Those who are poor or humble and not proud in the spirit will be blessed here and hereafter.
Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Those who are poor in the spirit are manifest contrite lifestyle and tremble at God’s words in the Bible.
Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
The Bible affirms that God’s blessings here and hereafter are for those who are contrite and humble in spirit.
The Bible reveals. Examples of such in the Bible and how they received healings from Christ through humble and contrite spirit.
- The leper that came to Jesus.
Matthew 8:1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
The leper in humility worshipped our Master and Lord Jesus Christ.
And effortlessly our Master and Lord Jesus Christ healed him.
8:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
- The Centurion. 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
The Centurion even though a high ranking Roman officer, saw himself unworthy before Christ.
8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
In the same token the servant of the Centurion was effortlessly healed.
8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
Even though there is the place of importunate praying and fasting , for us to be healed.
But most times, if we will humble ourselves before God, healings and every other blessings from God, will be our portion effortlessly.
This morning, come before God with broken heart and humility.
God will wrought biblical salvation and sanctification and then healings and deliverances in Jesus name.
Remember the promise of our Lord.
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
God is set to make our joy full this morning, come with humble heart and be healed in Jesus name.
