Turning to God wholeheartedly in prayers for desired healings.
Isaiah 38:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. 38:2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, 38:3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. 38:4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying, 38:5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
This was exactly what king Hezekiah did.
This is exactly what you too should be doing, when you are confronted with divers challenges.
Listen to what the Bible says.
Psalms 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Let me share this testimony with you.
Many many years ago, more than fifteen years ago
I was still secularly engaged.
My first son was with me in Port Harcourt. He had kidney stone.
My company gave us medical facility.
But then because of the situation of my son, I did not go to our own hospital.
I went to a private hospital. The owner of that hospital was the number one surgeon in Rivers state then.
I paid and my son was treated but their was no respite.
So I took him to our own hospital. Then when he was examined and they discovered it was kidney stone, they said, it was not something they could handle and referred us back to the hospital of the surgeon, we went initially.
So I told them, we have been there before we came to our own hospital.
They said, if we had gone there and they could not help him, there was nothing they could do.
So I told my son, let us go home.
I told him, I will do vigil with him for three days and God will heal him.
We did and God showed mercy to us and healed him.
You also can do same and God will show mercy to you in Jesus name.
Let us come back to king Hezekiah.
There was something about King Hezekiah.
He was an Israelite.
He was a righteous king.
God never faulted his claim about his standing with Him. Listen:
Isaiah 38:2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, 38:3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
So for you to reach out to God in prayer, you must be biblically saved and sanctified and be walking with God in biblical holiness lifestyle at all times.
The reason for this is because: listen.
Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
God regarded sinners as dogs.
Matthew 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
But then once you are a bonafide child of God and walking with Him in biblical holiness lifestyle, come boldly to the throne of grace now and ask and receive in Jesus name.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Let us Pray.
