Believers victorious lifestyle through prayer and fasting..

Mark  9:14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.  9:15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.  9:16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?  9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;  9:18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.  9:19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.  9:20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.  9:21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.  9:22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.  9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.  9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.  9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.  9:26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.  9:27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.  9:28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?  9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

You as a Bible believing believer should learn from the shameful incident that happened to Christ’s apostles during His absence.

He went to the mountain of transportation and before He returned, a man brought his son for prayer and they were unable to help him. 

Remember prio to this time, Christ sent them out to preach and empowered them.

This was their testimonies when they returned.

Mark  6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;  6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.  6:13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Unfortunately, they could not delivered the boy who had dumb spirit.

They asked our Master and Lord while they failed and He said, some challenges can only  be overcome through fasting and prayer.

Mark  9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Remember, you as a believer are always on warfare with the host of darkness.

Ephesians  6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

The host of darkness have fiery weapons they are using to perpetrate evil.

Isaiah  54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

You can not down plaw their weapons.  The prince of persia held angel Gabriel hostage for three weeks, when he was to deliver a message to Daniel.

It was twenty one days fasting of Daniel that brought angel Michael to prevail over him and free angel Gabriel.

Daniel  10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.  10:14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

The good news is that our own weapons are superior than theirs.

2 Corinthians  10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Among these weapons are:

The name of Jesus, His precious blood, the word of God, the anointing of God in your life, worship of God, like Paul and Silas did at Philipii. Fasting and prayer etc.

You are under compulsion to be fasting at least twice every week.

That was the lifestyle of saints of old.

2 Corinthians  6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,  6:5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

2 Corinthians  11:27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

This morning, the Lord is set to do marvels for us, but let us endeavor henceforth join weekly fasting to our prayers every week.

These weapon will be potent only in the lives of believers who are biblically saved and sanctified.

Please give attention to the word of Christ our Master and Lord. It is for your well-being.

What our Master and Lord said to the disciples of old in the Bible days, is saying same to you in particular this morning.

Mark  9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Remember heeding His eternal unchanging words make you wise.

Matthew  7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

The good Lord will help you to be wise according to His words in Jesus name.
