Beloved, your pursuit after been reconciled with Christ, is to be more and more like Him. 

You must decrease in yourself continually and increase in Christ likeness in everything. 

For this to be easily attainable Jesus Christ our Master and Lord lived a perfect exsmplary lifestyle for all Bible believing believers of all ages to learn from and replicate.

John  17:19 And for heir sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

No wonder He said emphatically that you should learn of Him 

Matthew  11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Himself and the blessed Holy Spirit said you should learn of His exemplary lifestyle.and replicate it.

John  13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

1 Peter  2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

For this to be possible, you must be biblically saved and sanctified, them you  continue to live a crucified lifestyle till Christ comes.

Then you will be changing from glory to glory and continue to grow in Christ likeness.

2 Corinthians  3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.

His grace will be sufficient for you.
