Grace not a license for sin.

GRACE NOT A LICENCE FOR SIN.

Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

It is very very unfortunate and disheartening to know that many churchgoers globally have a misunderstanding about grace.

Their thinking is that grace is a license for sin.

Sometimes ago I was speaking to a churchgoer about His lifestyle. His response to me was, are we not in the period of grace.

They felt because we are in this period, they can afford to be sinning with impunity and grace will cover it.

The Bible says a different thing.

Always remember, it is grace in your life that will help you to walk as a wise virgin and adequately prepare for the imminent rapture.

 Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Grace is never and will never ever be a license for sin.

Romans  6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Grace is the enablement we receive from God that helps us to live victorious lifestyle.

GRACE:  God’s riches at Christ expense.  God’s righteousness at Christ expense. God’s redemption at Christ expense.

Grace is a accessible by all men and it empowers all of us to be Christlike and godly in every areas of our lives.

Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Through grace you are dead to sin and alive unto God in righteousness.

Romans  6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.  6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.  6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Spiritual enablement is endowed to all faithful Followers of Christ through grace to overcome all sins.

Romans  5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)  5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

If you really desire to live with God eternally, then ask for abundance of grace to be free from all sins.

Romans  5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Hebrews  4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The good Lord will help you in particular in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
