Desired healings and deliverances through the unchanging Christ.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
There was something very very unique about our Master and Lord.
Before He left, the earth, with great humility, He informed our Father in heaven that, He had finished, the work , He gave Him to do.
John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
Which works was He given to do?
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
He went about doing good .
What is the scriptural meaning of this?
1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Jesus did two good works. Primary or principal and then secondary.
Primary: saving humanity from damnable sins.
Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Jesus saves from outward sins, biblical salvation and then, inw
ard sins, biblical sanctification.
It is very very unfortunate, that 90% of the global churches and churchgoers all over the world are seeking and serving Jesus, because of secondary works.
The Bible says such people are miserable people.
1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Pause here and sincerely examine yourself.
Do you belong to the category of miserable people attending miserable churches globally?
Are you seeking Christ to be free from damnable outward and inward sins, to help you live eternally with Him and be fulfilled on earth according to His perfect willi?
Or your pursuit is acquisition of transient things and lost of your precious undying soul.
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Where do you belong? Be very sincere to yourself. It has to do with your precious undying soul.
If you belong to the miserable churchgoers and perhaps going to miserable churches. The buck stops with you.
The Bible says, come out from among them, the miserable churches and miserable churchgoers.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Our Master and Lord will then fulfill His major or principal and minor or secondary works in your life in Jesus name.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Jesus wants to save you in particular from both outward and inward sins and heal and deliver you too, this morning in Jesus name.
Let us pray.
