Jesus from the book of Jude.

Jesus from the book of Jude.

The Bible from the book of Jude reveals our Lord Jesus Christ as the Able Merciful Savior.

Jude  1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,  1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:21. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

1. Christ, the able merciful Saviour.

2. Counseling the  abiding militant saints .

3. Cautioning the  abominable  misinformed  scoffers

1. Christ, the able merciful Saviour

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the able merciful Savior, delivering and keeping His flock from the snare and wiles of satan.

Hebrews 7:25.  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Jesus the able merciful Savior keeps His sheep from perishing.

John  10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

It took the powerful able merciful Savior to keep Apostle Peter from falling too.

Luke  22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:  22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

But then we need not fear, because our Savior is able and merciful.

He will be there defending our cause until , we cross over to live with Him eternally.

Romans 8:31: What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against

2 Timothy 4:18: And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

2. Counseling the  abiding militant saints .

After the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ and the death of virtually all the apostles,  apart from John and Jude, False teachers and false teaching had crept into  the church and the faith of some had been overthrown.

2 Timothy  2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.  2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;  2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

Jude wrote the brethren to contend for the faith.

Jude  1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

2 Timothy  2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;  2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Ephesians 6:11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

3. Cautioning the  abominable  misinformed scoffers.

Beloved Brethren, what happened in the time past, is happening at this end time.

Day after day some are falling into the  snares of the unrelenting agents of satan, who are wolves in sheep clothing, .

They unconsciously trivialize the  several warnings of the scriptures.

Judas Iscariot and evangelist Demas fell into the snare and wiles of satan.

2 Timothy 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

The Lord’s timeless caution will help you avoid these false teachers and scoffers.

1 Corinthians  10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.  10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.  10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Timothy  4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

2 Thessalonians  2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Please take advantage of this caution to help you avert what happened to others in the past.

Unspeakable devastating suffering awaits all mankind who fail to take advantage of the vicarious sacrifice  of Christ.

Luke  16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.  16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

The name of this rich man was Mr Dives. Jesus deliberately through His unmatched wisdom did not mention his name.

This man had all the time to seek the Savior, before death. He never did.

He had been suffering in hell for the past two thousand years before our Lord went to the cross.

You are wise. Don’t allow history to repeat itself. Do something about your precious undying soul, now before it is too late.

Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. Confess your sins, washed them in His precious blood and follow Him for the rest of your life.

Let us pray.
