Blessings through biblical righteousness.

Blessings through biblical righteousness

Psalms  5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Why will God bless the righteous?

1. Because He himself is righteous.

Psalms  145:17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

2. Jesus our Lord is righteous.

1 John  2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Biblical righteousness makes you to hate iniquity like Jesus.

Hebrews  1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.  1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

What are the blessings the biblical righteousness shall receive from: the Lord?

1. Favor

Psalms  5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

2. Enjoy the work of their hands.

Isaiah  3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him

3. Exaltation.

Proverbs  14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

4. Eternal blessings.

Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

God is set to bless you but you must be biblically righteous.

Psalms  5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Let us pray.

Psalms  1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
