Jesus, not cistern that can not hold water.

Jesus, not cistern that can not hold water.

Jeremiah  2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Isaiah  64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Romans  8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus Christ as a matter of compulsion must be all in all to you.

Nothing, not even the threat of death or loss of anything, should separate you from Him.

Acts  5:27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,  5:28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.  5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.  5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.  5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.  5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.  5:33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.  5:34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;  5:35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.  5:36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.  5:37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.  5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:  5:39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.  5:40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.  5:41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.  5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

You must cleave to Him through thick and thin.

Acts  11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.  11:20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.  11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.  11:22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.  11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

His love must be uppermost in your heart.

2 Corinthians  5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:  5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

You must commit yourself to doing His will till He comes.

1 Peter  4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;  4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

You must follow Him to the mountains, valleys, honours and dishonour. Etc

Revelation  14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.  14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

His grace will be sufficient for you.

2 Corinthians  9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Let us pray .
