God’s conditional prosperity.
Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Amplified
Psalm 1:1-2
[1]BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
[2]But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. [Rom. 13:8-10; Gal. 3:1-29; II Tim. 3:16.]
NLT
Psalms 1:1-2
[1]Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
[2]But they delight in the law of the lord,
meditating on it day and night.
Good News
Psalms 1:1-2
[1]Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God.
[2]Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night.
NIV
Psalm 1:1-2
[1]Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
[2]but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
The conditions are:
1. You must not be unequivocally yoked together with unbelievers but live separated lifestyle.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
You must be reading and meditating on God’s words.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
1 Timothy 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
It is after these two conditions have been consistently met, that God prospers what we are doing with His blessings without sorrow.
Psalms 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
God will fulfill His promise in our lives in Jesus name.
Ezekiel 12:28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.
