Lessons from Christ.

Lessons from Christ.

Two exemplary life style of Christ to be replicated, that guarantees life eternal.

1 Peter  2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Philippians  2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Humility and obedience.

God relates only with the humble.

Psalms  138:6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Isaiah  57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah  66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

He require obedience from you.

Jeremiah  7:23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

Jeremiah  11:4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:  11:7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.

Hebrews  5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

These two virtues distinguished Jesus Christ our Lord.

Learn from Him and follow His example.

Matthew  11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Then your eternity will be guaranteed.

Let us pray.
