STUDYING JESUS FROM THE BIBLE . EZEKIEL  – THE  WATCHMAN    Tue 5th  MAY   2025

The Lord Jesus Christ commanded his faithful followers of all generations to search the scriptures.

Everything from Genesis to Revelation, the entire sixty-six books  are unique revelations about our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jhn 5: 39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

TODAY, WE  DISCOVER FROM THE BOOK OF EZEKIEL THAT OUR LORD WAS THE WATCHMAN.

Ezekiel  3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.  3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.  3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.  3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Ezekiel  33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:  33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;  33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.  33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.  33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.  33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.  33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.  33:9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Luke  12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.  12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Luke  22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:  22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Matthew  24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.  24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.  24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  24:25 Behold, I have told you before.

EZE 3:17-21, 33 : 2-6, 7-9, LK 12: 4-5, 22: 31-32,  MAT  24:21- 25 .

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS REVEALED TO US FROM THE BOOK OF EZEKIEL AS THE WATCHMAN WHO GIVETH US TIMELY WARNING, THAT ENABLES US TO AVERT SATANIC SNARES AGAINST OUR LIVES HERE ON EARTH AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, ETERNAL DAMNATION.

1. CHRIST REPEATED WARNING MESSAGES

2. COMFORT FOR RECEIVING WARNING MESSAGES.

3.CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING WARNING MESSAGES.

1. CHRIST REPEATED WARNING MESSAGES.

OUR  LORD JESUS CHRIST MANIFESTED HIS LOVE TO HIS PEOPLE BY EXPOSING TO THEM TO THE PLOYS OF SATAN THAT CAN

ENSNARE THEM  AND BRING THEM  TO UNENDING PAINFUL SUFFERING.

Matthew  7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew  7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.  7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.  7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Luke  13:22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.  13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,  13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.  13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:  13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.  13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.  13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Mark  13:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,  13:4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?  13:5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:  13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  13:9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.  13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:  13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.  13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.  13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.  13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:  13:36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Matthew  24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,  24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.  24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.  24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Luke  21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke  22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:  22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.  22:33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.  22:34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

MAT 7:13-14, 15-20 21-23, LK 13: 22-28  MK 13: 3-6, 9, 21-23, 32-33, 35-37, MAT 36—44, LK 21: 34-36, 22: 31-34, 12: 4-5.

OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST GAVE US HIS FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS TIMELY WARNING IN THE BIBLE , THAT CAN DELIVER US CONTINUALLY FROM THE SNARE OF SATAN.

HOWEVER, WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THE WARNING THE LORD JESUS CHRIST GAVE US IN THE BIBLE?

Proverbs  19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Proverbs  22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

PETER DID NOT TAKE THE WARNING OF JESUS SERIOUSLY. HE ALMOST LOOSE ALL, WERE HE NOT FOR THE PRAYERS OF OUR LORD, THE DEVIL WOULD HAVE REJOICED OVER HIM.

JUDAS DESPISED THE WARNING OF JESUS, HE HAS GONE TO HELL.

LOT’S WIFE DESPISED THE WARNING OF THE ANGELS , SHE BECAME A PILLAR OF SALT.

Proverbs  29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

2. COMFORT FOR RECEIVING WARNING MESSAGES.

GREAT COMFORT, JOY AND HAPPINESS ARE ALWAYS THE LOTS OF THOSE WHO TAKES TO HEART , GOD’S WARNING MESSAGES.

MANY TIMES THEY ARE DELIVERED FROM EARTHLY AND ETERNAL SUFFERING.

APOSTLE PETER, PAUL, THE PEOPLE OF NINEVEH, JOSEPH THE HUSBAND OF MARY, DAVID AND MANY MORE IN THE BIBLE WERE BLESSED AND DELIVERED FROM DEVASTATING SNARES OF SATAN, BECAUSE THEY LISTENED TO THE TIMELY WARNING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Acts  9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:  9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?  9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.  9:6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Jonah  3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.  3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.  3:6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.  3:7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:  3:8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.  3:9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?  3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Matthew  2:7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.  2:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.  2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.  2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.  2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.  2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

THE BIBLE REVEALS  SOME WARNINGS , WILL YOU DO SOMETHING DEFINITE ABOUT THEM LIKE THESE PEOPLE?

Isaiah  55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:  55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Psalms  9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Ezekiel  33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Luke  13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

John  3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians  6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

1 John  2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Revelation  20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

WHAT WILL YOU DO TONIGHT WITH THESE TIMELY WARNINGS?

Isaiah  48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.  48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Psalms  81:13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!  81:14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.  81:15 The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.  81:16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee

.1 Corinthians  10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.  10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

MAY GOD HELP you ALL TO BE WISE UNTO SALVATION IN JESUS NAME.

3.CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING WARNING MESSAGES.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING GOD’S TIMELY WARNING MESSAGES CAN NOT BE OVER EMPHASIZED.

ADAM AND EVE, PEOPLE IN THE DAYS OF NOAH, LOT’S WIFE, SAMSON, JUDAS HAD SUFFERED UNPRECEDENTED PAINS FOR DESPISING AND DISDAINING GOD’S WARNING.

PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF TODAY SO AS TO AVOID WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM.

Genesis  2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis  3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:  3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.  3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Genesis  19:17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.  19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Matthew  26:21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.  26:22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?  26:23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.  26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Matthew  27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,  27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.  27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

WHO WILL YOU FOLLOW AFTER? ADAM OR PAUL

Proverbs  22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Deuteronomy  32:29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
