Jesus from Proverbs. The Wisdom of God.

Jesus the Wisdom of God.

STUDYING JESUS FROM THE BIBLE.  PROV  – THE  WISDOM OF GOD   Tue 31st  March  2025

The Lord Jesus Christ commanded his faithful followers of all generations to search the scriptures. Everything from Genesis to Revelation, the entire sixty-six books talks about him alone.  Jhn 5: 39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.  The book of proverbs  reveals our Lord Jesus Christ as the Wisdom of God.

Proverbs  8:1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?  8:4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.  8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.  8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.  8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.  8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.  8:14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.  8:15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.  8:16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.  8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.  8:18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.  8:19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.  8:20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:  8:21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.  8:32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.  8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.  8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.  8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.  8:36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

PROV 8:1, 4-10, 14-16,17-19, 20-21, 22-30,31-36,

How do we know these scriptures referred and reveal Jesus Christ, our Lord?

1 Corinthians  1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.  1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

. So from the book of Proverbs , we discovered Jesus Christ to be wisdom of God.

1.      THE CERTAINITY OF CHRIST THE WISDOM OF GOD..

2.     THE CONDITIONS FOR CHRISTLIKE WISDOM FROM GOD..

3.     THE CHRISTIANS CREATIVITY THROUGH WISDOM OF GOD.

1.      THE CERTAINITY OF CHRIST THE WISDOM OF GOD..                                                                                                                                                              The Bible gives us vivid and certain revelation that our Lord Jesus Christ was and still remains the wisdom of God.

Proverbs  3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

John  1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.  1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians  1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Jesus has been of old. He created all things. Everything on the face of the earth were created by the wisdom of God, which was Christ.

It is settled in our Heart that Jesus, God’s eternal wisdom created the things on earth, in heaven and underneath the earth.

Hebrews  11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Jesus Christ the indisputable word and wisdom of God, created all things. That include all of us. How we need to give all glory to our Christ, for all he had done for us.

2.     THE CONDITIONS FOR CHRISTLIKE WISDOM FROM GOD..

When our Lord was on the earth, He manifested such wonderful wisdom, that made men to marvel.

Matthew  13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

Matthew  22:15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.  22:22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

Mark  6:2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

John  8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.  8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,  8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.  8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?  8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.  8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.  8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.  8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

This same wisdom will be made available to us today, if we desire it and meet the conditions.

Proverbs  8:32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.  8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.  8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.  8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

To get Christ like wisdom you must find Him and receive Him as your Lord and savior.

Have you found Him since you have been coming to church?

John  1:40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.  1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.  1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.  1:43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.  1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.  1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.  1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Andrew found Peter and brought Him to Jesus. Philip found Jesus and brought Nathaniel.

Have you found Him? If you have found Him as the Messiah, what is the proof?

Why are you ashamed of Him?

Why have you not brought to Him your unsaved  husband, wife, children, parents, neighbors and coworkers?

The one evidence that you have found Christ ,is to bring others to Him. If you are not doing that,, it is very doubtful whether you have found Him.

Mark  8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Luke  9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.

Jesus gives His wisdom only to those who are not ashamed of him.

Luke  21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:  21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Matthew  10:18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.  10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.  10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

See examples of people that receives such wisdom from God.

Acts  4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.  4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.  4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Acts  6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.  6:9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.  6:10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

The three conditions for receiving Christ-like wisdom are:

1. you must find Him and received Him as your Lord and savior.

2. You must be prepared to talk to the world about Him.

3. You ask God by faith for it.

James  1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

3.     THE CHRISTIANS CREATIVITY THROUGH WISDOM OF GOD.

The Lord our God is very creative. He also wants His children and followers of Christ to be very creative.

Proverbs  3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

1 Corinthians  2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

God’s children and followers of Christ have His mind, giving to us primarily to be creative.

2 Timothy  1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

God gave us sound mind like that of Christ, to make us creative and prospered.

Abraham was very rich, because he was creative. He dug well to feed his flock while others, lead them all around in the forest, looking for water.

Genesis  13:2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

Genesis  26:1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.  26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.  26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:  26:14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Isaac became very rich during famine though his creative mind.  He started irrigation farming. While others were waiting for rain, he went into planting and watered it from the well.

Genesis  26:22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

Jacob became very rich by using his creative mind.

Genesis  30:31 And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock.  30:32 I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.  30:33 So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.  30:37 And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.  30:38 And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.  30:39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.  30:40 And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle.  30:41 And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.  30:42 But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban’s, and the stronger Jacob’s.  30:43 And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

Joseph became great by using creative mind to preserve food for fourteen years . he preserved the food for seven years of plenty and sold them all through the seven years of famine.

Esther used her creative mind to outwit Haman the enemy of the Jews by inviting the king to banquet and made request.

Solomon used His creative mind to settle the dispute of the dead and the living child.

Jesus on several occasions used His creative mind to deliver Himself from traps of the enemies.

This same creative mind is made available today for Christians.

John  14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Holy Spirit is given to us to make us creative.

When will you start asking Him for creative ideas that will make you possess your possessions?

1 Corinthians  1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Jesus is the wisdom of God.>,have you found Him?

Let us pray.
