Biblical righteousness pathway to earthly and eternal blessings.

Psalms  5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Isaiah  3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Our Father in heaven is righteous and loves the righteous.

Psalms  145:17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Psalms  11:7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the righteous one and loves righteousness.

1 John  2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Hebrews  1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.  1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

On this side of heaven, God promised the following to the biblical righteous.

Psalms  5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Proverbs  14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

Isaiah  3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Only the righteous shall live eternally with Him. Both God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

Matthew  13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew  25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

But then this biblical righteousness is not the work of your hands.

Isaiah  64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Luke  18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:  18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.  18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

The Bible refers to righteousness through your strength filthy rags.

Biblical righteousness comes through Christ and His redemptive work.

There are two types of righteousness.

Imputed

Imparted.

Imputed comes to you through your absolute faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

2 Corinthians  5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Romans  3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Imparted righteousness is attained through the grace of Christ.

It is the righteousness that makes you to hate everything the Bible refers to as sin.

But then this is made possible through the grace of Christ.

Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

True everyone that have faith in the blood of Jesus is seen as righteous before God.

2 Corinthians  5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Unfortunately imputed righteousness alone can not qualify you for heaven.

Matthew  7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Through His grace you do His will, you are free from all sins.

John  8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?  8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.  8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

1 John  3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Only by His grace you are free from all sins damning the precious undying souls.

John  8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

John  8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?  8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Titus  2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1 John  3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Titus  3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,  3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;  3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

This morning God wants to give you all your earthly desires according to His will and eternity with Him.  But you receive the blessings through biblical righteousness.

Let us pray.
