Waiting for God’s appointed time for fulfilling His purpose for your life.

Waiting for God’s appointed time for fulfilling His purpose for your life.

Acts  7:23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.  7:24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:  7:25 For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.  7:26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?  7:27 But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?  7:28 Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?  7:29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons. 7:30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

Moses discover God’s purpose for his life and was willing to joyfully fulfil it.

He turned his back to everything that could hinder him in fulfilling that purpose.

Hebrews  11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;  11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;  11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

However Moses failed to understand that God always have appointed time for doing all things.

Habakkuk   2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Acts  1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?  1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Galatians  4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

So he ran before the appointed time and suffered set back of another forty years.

Everything written in the scriptures are for your learning to help you in avoiding doing same thing.

Romans  15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1 Corinthians  10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

To get God’s promises fulfilled in your life, you must replicate the right attitude of Abraham.

He got God’s promises fulfilled by patiently waiting for His right timing.

Hebrews  6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.  6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,  6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.  6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

The blessed Holy Spirit admonished you to be patient for God’s promise to be fulfilled in your life.

Hebrews  10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.  10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.  10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.  10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Be like Moses discover God’s purpose for your life and be willing to do everything to fulfill it.

But wait for God’s good timing and never run before Him to avoid what happened to Moses.

Psalms  40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.  40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Let us pray.
