Biblical baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Biblical Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Acts  2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

As far back as the old testament dispensation, the Bible reveals the process of receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel  36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.  36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.  36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

1. The person must be biblically saved.

Ezekiel  36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

John  3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2. The person must be biblically sanctified.

Ezekiel  36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

This informed why Jesus prayed for the sanctification of His disciples and us.

John  17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.  17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:  17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

3. Thirst and Pray for baptism after biblical sanctification.

Ezekiel  36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Isaiah  44:3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

Luke  11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

When you are baptized, it comes with evidence of speaking in tongues.

Acts  2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts  10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.  10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.  10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Acts  19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,  19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.  19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Even today as you thirst for Him, the good Lord will baptize you in Jesus name.

Isaiah  44:3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

Let us pray.
