Meeting with the Lord early before the privileges are lost.

Meeting with the Lord early before the privileges are lost.

John  20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

Luke  24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Mary Magdalene had left a very very important example that you should embrace and replicate in every areas of your life.

God has been from eternity past, He is present now and will certainly be there in eternity future.

However, you have limited opportunity to have access to Him to attain eternal benefits.

No wonder both in the old and new testaments, you are counseled to reach out to God now, because of the likelihood that you might not be there tomorrow, to reach Him.

Seek the Lord early in life and building relationship with Him to secure earthly and eternal fulfilments.

Proverbs  8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Ecclesiastes  12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

Isaiah  55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:  55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

2 Corinthians  6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

This you do through prayers of faith.

Praying to the Lord early in the morning.

Psalms  5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Both our Lord Jesus Christ and saints of old usually met with Him early.

Jesus Christ our Lord.

Mark  1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

John  8:1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.  8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

Abraham

Genesis  22:1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.  22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.  22:3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Moses

Exodus  34:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.  34:2 And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.  34:4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

Joshua and Israel.

Joshua  6:12 And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.  6:15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.  6:16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.  6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

The apostles.

Acts  5:17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,  5:18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.  5:19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,  5:20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.  5:21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Because of Mary’s coming to the sepulchre where Christ was buried earlier,  she was privileged to first met with the resurrected Lord

John  20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.  20:13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my LORD, and I know not where they have laid him.  20:14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.  20:15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.  20:16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.  20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.  20:18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

Go and begin to do so likewise through the help of our Lord Jesus Christ till He comes.

Let us pray.
