Pleasing God in all things and at all times requisite for readiness for the imminent rapture.

Pleasing God in all things and at all times, requisite for the imminent rapture.

Hebrews  11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Enoch was raptured, because, he lived to please God.  The Bible further reveals to us, how, he did it.

Genesis  5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:  5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:  5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

So for you too, to experience what, He experienced,  you must do same thing. Pleasing God in all things and at all times.

The Bible reveals to us, others, especially our Lord Jesus Christ who pleased God in all things and at all times.

Listen to some of them.

Our Lord Jesus Christ.

John  8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Romans  15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

2 Peter  1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.  1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Paul  apostle.

Galatians  1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

1 Thessalonians  2:3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:  2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

John the beloved.

1 John  3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Bible believing believers are exhorted to please God in all things and at all times.

1 Thessalonians  4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

2 Timothy  2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

So how do you please God, biblically?

1. Living a praiseful lifestyle.

Psalms  69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.  69:31 This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

2. Walking with God in faith.

Hebrews  11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

3. Doing good to others, especially the needy .

Hebrews  13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

4. Keeping the commandments of God at all times in all things.

1 John  3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

5. Avoiding a lifestyle of men pleasers.

Ephesians  6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;  6:7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: 6:8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Colossians  3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:  3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;  3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

However, you discover that a lot of people lived to please themselves and displeases the Lord.

Such people will not be part of the imminent rapture.

1. King David adulterous lifestyle.

Displeased the Lord.

2 Samuel  11:26 And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.  11:27 And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.

Onan , son of Judah.

Genesis  38:9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.  38:10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

Israel in the wilderness.

Numbers  11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

1 Corinthians  10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.  10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.  10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

Sampson.

Judges  14:1 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.  14:2 And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.  14:3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.

The people of Judah.

Isaiah  2:6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

Professors of religion, living in carnality.

Romans  8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

The Sanhedrin in the time of Christ.

1 Thessalonians  2:14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:  2:15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:  2:16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

Beloved you have seen what to do to please God and what you must avoid till Christ comes, because they displeases Him.

The grace of God will be sufficient for you to always please God in all things and at all times, till Christ comes in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
