Continual watchfulless requisite for partaking in the imminent rapture. ( Click here for more details. )

Continual  watchfulness requisite for the imminent rapture.

Matthew  24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,  24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.  24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.  24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Beloved Brethren, no doubt the Bible is repleted with many scriptures affirming that the rapture is certain and imminent.

John  14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

1 Corinthians  15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Thessalonians  4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

To help you in particular to be ready and not be caught unaware, you need to give attention to the exhortation of our Lord Jesus Christ and the blessed Holy Spirit on your need to live a lifestyle of continual watchfulness.

Many other scriptures affirm this statement of fact.

Matthew  25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Mark  13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.  13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.  13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:  13:36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Luke  12:35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;  12:36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.  12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.  12:38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.  12:39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.  12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Luke  21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

1 Thessalonians  5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

1 Peter  4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Revelation  16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Why must you be watchful?

Because of the resolve of the devil and his cohorts to turn you back from following the Lord.

The devil’s desire to hurt you and give you setback.

1 Peter  5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Backsliding.

Revelation  3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.  3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Not falling into temptations

Matthew  26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Pursuit of transient things.

Remember, he got Demas,

2 Timothy  4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

You need to be very strong in the faith.

1 Corinthians  16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Ephesians  6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Beloved Brethren, God’s grace will be sufficient for us as you need the timely warning of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us pray.
