Jesus lived to Please God.

John  8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

This was the testimony of our master and Lord Jesus Christ, that He pleased the Father.

Matthew  3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:  3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew  17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

These were the testimonials of our gracious Father in heaven, that, He was well pleased with our master and Lord Jesus Christ.

There were several evidences in the Bible, that our Master and Lord Jesus Christ, actually pleased the Father.  Listen to some of them.

John  4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

John  5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John  6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

John  14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

John  15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

John  17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

The blessed Holy Spirit gave testimonies that our Lord Jesus Christ actually pleased the Father. Listen.

Hebrews  5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;  5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Hebrews  7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Hebrews  10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:  10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.  10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.  10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;  10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.  10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

1 John  2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

There were saints of God also who lived to Please God.

Paul.

Galatians  1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Enoch

Hebrews  11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

John the beloved.

1 John  3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

The blessed Holy Spirit is enjoining even you too, to please God.  Be obedient to heaven bound ministers God has placed over you.

Colossians  3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Receive grace to do so in Jesus name.

Let us pray.
