Jesus’s example to follow in fulfilling our ministry.

John  7:11 Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?  7:12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.  7:13 Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.  7:14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.  7:15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?  7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.  7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.  7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.  7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?  7:20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?  7:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.  7:22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.  7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?  7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Beloved thanks to God and Jesus Christ our Lord for the exemplary lifestyle, He lived and left for us until the end of time to follow.

John  17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

The Jews were desperate to kill Jesus. He knew it, because He knows all things.

John  2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.  2:24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,  2:25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Hebrews  4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Because of this challenge, our Lord prayed earnestly that His Father should save Him from death.

Hebrews  5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;  5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

With all these Jesus went to the temple to preach and face fierce persecutions.

The blessed Holy Spirit says, He has left example for you in particular to follow.

1 Peter  2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Jesus our Lord Himself said you should learn from Him.

Matthew  11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

But then what was the reason why they were persecuting Jesus and want to kill Him?

Listen to what He did.  Instead of them having gratitude,  they had great hatred.

John  5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.  5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.  5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.  5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.  5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.  5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?  5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.  5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.  5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.  5:10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.  5:11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.  5:12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?  5:13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.  5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.  5:15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.  5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.  5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.  5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Beloved listen to the exhortations of the blessed Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy  2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.  2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Timothy  4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Our Lord Himself is saying to you in particular.

Revelation  2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation  3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.  3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

The good Lord shall help us all in Jesus name.
