Living crucified lifestyle that helps avoid satanic subtle temptations.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Things that are written in the scriptures should give you concern and you should learn from them.
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
As you remember the death of Annanias and Sapphira in the early, church who died while trying to do something good for the church, you should let it be an example that you resolve not to fall into the same undoing.
1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Satan has not changed. He is still subtle as ever and because he has made some people in the Bible days and even in our contemporary time to fall, he is always reassuring himself, he can get you too.
One singular way of shutting him out of your life permanently is living biblical crucified lifestyle.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Endeavor to crucify self in your life.
Self can be Simply described as anything in your life, opposing doing God’s perfect will.
Many so called believers while praying wants to bind the devil. They quote the Bible, but is a dream that is never coming to pass.
The simple reason is because you can not bind the devil when you are not ready to submit to God in your life.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Listen to what self did to Eve.
Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Beware of what you are always looking at and you are desiring to be like.
Why must you be like Pastor so and so or sister so and so. Why are you not content of what God has made you and grow on it?
It was the same undoing that brought the ruin of Israel. They want to be like other nations. They don’t want God to govern them again.
1 Samuel 8:5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
Beware of enjoying validation of people that makes you to disobey God. Popularity than you gain by compromising your faith.
Validation that cause you value.
That was the undoing of king Saul.
1 Samuel 15:24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.
Desist pleasing men at the expense of obeying God.
Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Beware of gaining something by destroying another.
Absalom momentarily dethroned David his father to become king.
2 Samuel 15:4 Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice! 15:5 And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him. 15:6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
He died shamefully and damned his soul.
Beware of serving God according to your will, not according to the Bible.
Jonah was sent to Nineveh, he went to Tarshishi. No wonder when the storm came the prophet of God can not pray to stop it
Many pastors preach about Jonah’s disobedience while neglecting their own self will. Members of your church are worldly, you know God’s will. Because you want to keep the crowd that are not going to heaven, you kept quiet. They are divorcing and remarrying. But to continue to enjoy their thiethe and seed or financial support to your church, you kept quiet. You have fallen into the undoing of Jonah, if you don’t repent, we won’t find you in heaven.
Brother/ Sister, you have divorced your false spouse, you are living in wrong marriage. You are giving bribe, you are living in compromise. You think given God money will bail you from hell? You are like Jonah, repent before it is too late.
Jonah 1:5 Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
Isaiah 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
4. Loyalty that demand your silence. To be loyal to your boss in the office, your inlaws or any other person, you are silence and allow them to continue in wrong doing.
Aaron knew the danger of Idolatry, yet he made a calf for Israel and caused more than three thousand people to die and go to hell. He took Moses intercession to save his soul from damnation.
Deuteronomy 9:20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
Beware of actualizing God’s promise for your life in your own way.
Being in haste not willing to wait for God’s timing.
Sarah made Abraham to impregnate Hagai. Israel and Arab world are not in peace. Christian genocide in Nigeria, is the consequence of Sarah’s impatience.
Not wanting for God’s timing is very costly.
Genesis 16:1 Now Sarai Abram’s wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. 16:2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. 16:3 And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.
Endeavor to wait for God’s timing.
Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
One way of avoiding all of these, is biblical crucifixion.
Pray and be crucified. God’s grace will be sufficient for you in Jesus name.
Let us pray.
