Called to be saints.

Called to be saints.

1 Corinthians  1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Romans  1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Heaven bound Bible believing believers are called to be saints and not sinners or churchgoers.

The reason for this is because, The one that called them is holy. So He called them into holiness lifestyle.

1 Peter  1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;  1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

He called them to holiness.

1 Thessalonians  4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

This call can be interpreted to mean: perfection.

Matthew  5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

It can also mean biblical purity.

Matthew  5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

1 John  3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

It can also mean walking in the way of holiness.

Isaiah  35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.  35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

It can also mean circumcision of heart.

Deuteronomy  30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Whatever you understand it to be. Remember it is the singular requisite for eternity with God.

Heaven is meant for saints and not sinners.

Always remember, you are called to saintliness to live eternally with God.

1 Corinthians  1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Let us pray.
