John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Beloved Brethren during the earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. He lived an exemplary lifestyle for all Bible believing believers of all ages and that includes you, to embrace and replicate.
John 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
His exemplary lifestyle is an example to be embraced and replicated by all Bible believing believers of all ages and you in particular.
1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Listen to how severally in the Bible, these noble lifestyle of our Lord were expressed.
John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
John 8:50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
John 18:11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
The blessed Holy Spirit also affirms that our Lord Jesus Christ was committed determinedly and conscientiously to doing His Father’s will during His earthly ministry, He never pleased Himself.
Romans 15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
In addition there was a prophecy that affirms that our Lord, the coming Messiah will be committed and delighted in doing God’s perfect will.
Psalms 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
There are three things, the Bible reveals, as the perfect will of God to all Bible believing believers of all ages and that includes you.
1. Biblical salvation.
1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
2. Biblical sanctification.
1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
3. Total obedience to the totality of God’s unfailing unchanging infallible eternal words in the Bible.
Mark 3:32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. 3:33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? 3:34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
What did our Lord referred to as the perfect will of God for His brethren to be doing?
Luke 8:21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Painfully and shamefully, however, is the reason why multitude in the church, shall be denied access to heaven.
It is there obstinate resolution, not to be doing the perfect will of God but their own self will.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Pause a little here and sincerely examine yourself.
Are you determinedly doing God’s perfect will as contained in the Bible or you are obstinately doing your self
will?
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
The buck stops with you. Your eternal well being is in your hands.
If you discover you are doing your self will, repent today and begin to do, God’s perfect will.
Remember tomorrow might be too late. The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
