A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. – Matthew 5:14-16.
Ye are the light of the world. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father. – Matthew 5:14-16.
Beloved, there is no controversy about it. God your loving Father is Light and the creator of light.
1 John 1:5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Do you know from the outset, when your Father created light. He immediately separated it from darkness, meaning if you truly belong to Him as one of His children, you will detest darkness and its works in their entirety. Only that, makes you acceptable to God.
Genesis 1:3-4. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
James 4:4. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
1 John 2:15-17. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Beloved, light is very sweet.
Ecclesiastes 11:7. Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
No wonder your Father commanded that His light, must never ever go out of your life. It must be burning.
Leviticus 6:13. The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
What follows when His light is burning in you, you shall shine in this dark world.
Matthew 5:14-16. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
How can you shine? Your obedience to His words in the Bible makes you shine.
Psalms 119:105. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalms 119:130. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Beloved, see the earthly and eternal blessings that shall be yours, as you determinedly obey the entirety of His eternal , unchanging, infallible words in the Bible.
Proverbs 4:18: But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
Isaiah 58:8: ¶Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Isaiah 60:1-3. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Revelation 3:10-11. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Beloved, the danger is indescribable and unfathomable when you choose to despise any of His words, that makes you shine as light..
John 12:46-48. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Your resolution till Christ cones should then be , to be committed to obeying His words in His entirety. His words on biblical marriage standard, doing business and lifestyle etc.
Exodus 24:7. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient.
Dearly beloved, presently everyone on this side of heaven are following just two personalities. It is either you are following Jesus the light of the world, that lightens every one that willingly comes to Him or following satan, the, prince of darkness.
It is very very important at this point, to sincerely examine yourself. Whom are you following?
Don’t be presumptuous. Our Lord, no doubt is the only light that lightens His faithful followers. Please be sure, He is the one you are following.
John 8:12. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 1:1-9. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 12:36: While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
One thing that is certain and should persuade you, if you are really and fully following Jesus, is that, your singular, tireless desire is to shine as light as He commanded. Pause. Is this your true position? See what He says.
Matthew 5:14-16. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father whichis in heaven.
John 10:27-28. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Ephesians 5:8 -14. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
1 Peter 2:9: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1 Peter 2:12: Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
1 John 1:6:-7. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Dearly beloved, the believers of all ages, which must not exclude you, that are doing these, shall witness at the end of time Jesus Christ, not just lightening His faithful followers, but lightening heaven for all eternity. You must be there. You shall be there. So walk in the biblical light to be there. The good Lord shall help you in Jesus name.
Revelation 21:22-23. And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
JESUS CHRIST IS THE LIGHT THAT SHALL ILLUMINATE HEAVEN FOREVER. YOU MUST BE THERE AND YOU SHALL BE THERE. SO, COME NOW INTO THE FULLNESS OF HIS LIGHT.
Friend, when our Lord was here during His earthly ministry, He came to shine and show the way to biblical light. He did not come to change the world. This present world is full of cruelty and wickedness. The prince of the world is still here. It will not change, until the the one thousand years millennium reign and new earth and heaven are made by God. See the reality of this present world.
Psalms 74:20. Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
1 John 5:19. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
So, the believers of all ages and that includes you are not here now to change the world but to shine as light. Always remember, never ever forget. See scriptures to validate this.
Philippians 2:15. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
1 Thessalonians 5:5: Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Romans 13:11-14. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Ephesians 5:8: For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
See what satan and his cohorts are doing to sustain the cruelty and wickedness, in the world presently. It is by shinning as light, that you can pull out others from the shameless wicked practices.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
This, then is the assignment our Lord gave to Paul and believers of all ages, especially you.. It is your commitment to doing this, shining as light and turning others to Christ, that prepares you and qualifies you for the dawning rapture. Receive grace to be doing it, until Christ comes in Jesus name l
Acts 26:17-18. Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
