Romans 12:4-8. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Beloved, as you conscientiously check the details of many of the saints in the Old Testament that became relevant . Majority of them were not priests, but just presented themselves as holy vessels to God and were used by God and became very relevant. See some of them.
1. Joseph
He separated himself from corrupt practices of his brethren and God took notice of him.
Genesis 37:2. These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.
Genesis 39:9. There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
2. Joshua,
He. was not a priest but, committed servant of Moses and God took notice of Him.
Exodus 33:11. And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
Numbers 11:28. And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
3. Samuel,
He. was not a priests, but never joined the waywardness of the sons of Eli, the high priest. And God noticed him.
1 Samuel 1:3. And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there.
1 Samuel 2:12. Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord.
1 Samuel 3:1-4. And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision. And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.
4. Nehemiah
He was a cup bearer in captivity, who was very concerned about the broken wall of Jerusalem and God took notice of him.
Nehemiah 1:1-5. The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven, And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
Nehemiah 1:10-11. Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand. O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.
5. Daniel,
He. was a captive slave in Babylon who purposes not to define himself and God took notice of him.
Daniel 1:8. But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
ALL OF THESE SAINTS, BROUGHT THEMSELVES INTO RELEVANCE BEFORE GOD, BY SIMPLY WALKING WITH HIM IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS.
The blessed Holy Spirit affirmed in the New Testament, that anyone who follows the exemplary lifestyle of these saints of old, will also attain same relevance in the vineyard of the Lord. See it.
2 Timothy 2:19-21. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
Now that, you have discovered this. What are you waiting for? Present yourself righteous before God and He will commission you to do great assignment for Him, in His vineyard. May the Lord help you to do so in Jesus name.
Beloved, are you not aware that by the virtue of your new birth into the kingdom of Christ, you automatically become a priest? So why don’t you make yourself relevant and consecrate yourself, for priestly service?
Exodus 19:5-6. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
1 Peter 2:9-10. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Revelation 1:5-6. And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen
Beloved, apart from this, see God has placed an open cheque of relevance to all believers today. It is just for you to consecrate yourself and enter into a glorious office in His vineyard. See them yourself
Psalms 139:14. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Isaiah 6:8. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Isaiah 44:3: For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
Isaiah 55:1: Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Ezekiel 22:30-31. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.
So stop marvelling at exploits, that brought uncommon greatness to the likes of Joseph, Joshua, Samuel, Nehemiah, Daniel and others in the time past. The same door of relevance in God’s vineyard is widely open for you, too. So enter into it and bring glory to God and furtherance to Christ Kingdom.
When you choose to do this, you become great on this side of heaven and also receive eternal rewards at eternity. The good Lord shall help you in Jesus name.
Exodus 23:25-26. And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
Job 36:11. If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Daniel 12:3. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Dearly beloved, it is a great privilege to be a redeemed person. If you have been genuinely converted through the new birth, then you have an assured and certain relevance in the vineyard of Christ and His kingdom.
Our Lord has commissioned all believers and that includes you, to occupy for Him, till He comes in the rapture.
Luke 19:12-13. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
The same empowerment is given to all believers to do exploits for Christ, through His name.
Mark 16:17-18. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Now the blessed Holy Spirit has revealed to believers of all ages and that includes you, of the relevance of all of them in the vineyard of Christ and His kingdom. Pause a little and look at yourself from head to toe.
Is there any part of your body that is more important than the other? The answer is no. Your eyes as important to you as your brain. Your kidney is as important to you as your heart. There is no part of your body that is more important than the other.
THAT IS THE WAY IT IS IN THE VINEYARD AND KINGDOM OF CHRIST. YOU ALSO ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT AS MUCH AS THE PASTOR. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TO DISCOVER YOUR ASSIGNMENT FROM THE LORD AND BEGIN TO FAITHFULLY DO IT.
Acts 9:6. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
Jeremiah 33:3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not
YOU MUST REALISE THIS. JUST LIKE THE PASTOR HAS AN ASSIGNMENT IN THE VINEYARD AND IN THE KINGDOM, SO ALSO, YOU TOO HAS SOMETHING, NO OTHER PERSON CAN DO. THE CHURCH IS A BODY OF CHRIST, NO ONE MEMBER IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE OTHER. See this severally affirmed.
1 Corinthians 10:17: For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
1 Corinthians 12:12-28 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Ephesians 1:22-23. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 4:4: There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Ephesians 4:1-7. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Ephesians 4:12: For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Ephesians 4:15-16. But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 2:19-22. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Ephesians 5:30: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Colossians 2:19: And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
Colossians 3:15: And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Dearly beloved, the pastor or ministers in the vineyard and kingdom of Christ are not more important that others in the body. They have their office as administrative convenient in the vineyard.
If they performed their roles well and you also performed your role well, everyone will be rewarded here and hereafter, according to how you faithfully fulfill your roles. Please read this true testimony.
There was a particular church who had a large congregation. The pastor was gifted and was performing his role. There was a sister inside the church who was not prominent or known to the pastor in her lifetime, who was tirelessly interceding for the growth and well being of the church. This church kept on growing, not through the gift or the effort of the pastor, but through the tireless intercession of this sister that was not prominent or known to the pastor.
When this sister finished her assignment on earth, she slept in the Lord and was buried even without the knowledge of the pastor. After her demise, the church began to decline. So the pastor began to pray to find out from the Lord. After sometime , the Lord showed the pastor a humbling revelation. He saw himself standing with this sister, who He never knew in her lifetime, to be member of his church. An angel came from heaven with two crowns.
One with star and the other empty. The angel put the crown with star on the head of the sister and the empty crown on the pastor. He inquired why the angel did what He did. The angel now told him, the humbling truth.
This was what the angel said. This sister was a member of your church and you never knew her in her lifetime. This was the sister that was the only person in the church, praying for growth and some other things. Now that , she had died and now in the blossom of His Lord, no other person has filled the vacuum she left and that was why, the church was dwindling.
Then the revelation ended.
SO DISCOVER YOUR ROLE FROM THE LORD AND PERFORM IT, FAITHFULLY. YOU MIGHT END UP, HAVING GREATER REWARDS THAN EVEN THE PASTOR OF YOUR CHURCH.
Colossians 3:23-24. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:58. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Revelation 22:12. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
See this video of young people that served their Master Jesus Christ, even in death. You are very relevant in the vineyard and the kingdom of Christ. Discover your office and fulfil it . God bless you.
CERTAINTY OF THE RELEVANCE OF ALL BELIEVERS, ESPECIALLY YOU IN GOD’S VINEYARD , ACCORDING TO ROMANS CHAPTER TWELVE VERSES FOUR TO EIGHT.
Friend, the dawning rapture should interest you, now that you have discovered the certainty of your relevance in the vineyard and kingdom of Christ. So why is this imminent event very important?
It is because immediately after it, all the raptured saints shall be ushered to the venue of the marriage supper of the Lamb, where rewards of faithful service rendered to Christ on earth, shall be distributed.
Revelation 19:6-9. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
See, Jesus our Lord by the reason of these commissions provided all believers and that includes you, to have enviable rewards at eternity.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 16:15-18. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Romans 10:13-15. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
The harvest is still plenteous and labourers are still very few.
Matthew 9:36-38. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Remember, the unsaved in your world of influence. Your unsaved spouse, children, siblings, parents, in laws, close and extended relatives, Neighbours and colleagues in your place of work. Reach out to these people and deliver them from flames of hell.
Jude 1:22-23. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
See the rewards awaiting you for occupying for Christ.
Daniel 12:3. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
1 Peter 1:4. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
See, the consequences if you don’t do anything to save them.
Ezekiel 3:17-19. Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
So reach out to the Lord like Paul and discover your assignment and begin in earnest to do it.
1 Corinthians 9:16-17. For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
