Beloved, three is a truth that is of utmost importance for you to know,, welcome and embrace. It is the reality and certainty of suffering for all heavenly pilgrims. When you embrace it, you will not be surprised when it comes. The scriptures call it the cross. It is to be embraced and joyfully carried daily.

Luk 9:23. And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

You might have read of Joseph. He began the carrying of his cross from the PIT, TO PORTIPHAR’S HOUSE, THEN TO PRISON AND THEN TO THE PALACE AS THE PRIME MINISTER IN EGYPT.

It lasted him twelve years. You remembered the three Hebrews who went life to furnace of fire. I am sure you read of Daniel who slept with fearful lions. Good that you have read all of these. All of these people were saints and children of God like you. They joyfully carried their crosses .

Yours too might have come or is coming. Do what they did. Don’t reject it. Just joyfully carried it. They came out triumphantly and were lifted and are now in heaven. This shall surely be your own portion too in Jesus name. See what the Bible says.

Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

2Ti 3:12. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Beloved, your cross might come through uncooperative attitude of your spouse. Don’t divorce her. Just carry your cross till God shall intervene. If you divorce and married another.

You have already being consigned to hell while you are still alive. Yours might be financial challenge or health like Timothy. Just joyfully carry your cross, till the Lord will make a way of escape and bring it to an end. There are two things you need to know about the cross.

1. It has an end.

Pro 23:18. For surely there is an end;and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

2. There is a way out of it through God.

1 Corinthians 10:13. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Beloved, see the most important truth that guarantees your eternal fortune. May God help you to embrace it.

2 Timothy 2:3. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ..

Dearly beloved it amazing that we have the most wonderful Saviour and Redeemer . During His earthly ministry, He talked joyfully about His God given cross and joyfully and willing carried it, even though it involves unprecedented shame and pain.

Luke 12:50. But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished

Mat 20:22. But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

Jn 18:11. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

Interestingly, Jesus told His followers of all ages, especially you. That same cross await then as enlisted soldiers following Him.

John 16:33. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Matthew 20:23. And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

The blessed Holy Spirit who is the Commander in Chief of the church of Christ, reminds every redeemed believers of all ages, that they are soldiers of Christ. And that they should ensure hardness if they shall meet with Jesus in heaven. Don’t ever forget this. If you shall see Jesus your captain. Them onward Christian soldiers matching on to war, enduring hardness on the way .

Either as a minister .

2 Timothy 4:5. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Or as a member of the church.

Heb 10:32–33. But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

Jam 1:2–3. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

1Pe 1:6–7. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Grace for you to fully endure hardness as a soldiers of Jesus, like saints of old. Receive in Jesus name.

Rom 5:1–5. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Friend, for everyone who intends to be part of the dawning rapture, must receive the seal and baptism of suffering joyfully. This is because Satan and his cohorts, human and spirit beings shall mark you out, determined to make you loose the prized reward awaiting you at the marriage supper. But they shall fail in Jesus name. For them to fail you must welcome hardness and unavoidable challenges.

Revelation 2:10. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

James 1:12. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

See like the beloved brother Paul. His grace shall be sufficient for you in Jesus name.

2Co 12:9-10. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
