WHAT IS THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB

Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – Exodus 12:3-7 – Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

Beloved , when our Father in heaven was fully set to show Pharaoh His Lordship supremacy, He made use of the Lamb without blemish symbolic of His only begotten Son, in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ, to redeem the children of Israel.

They were not just brought out of bondage of four hundred and thity years, they were also redeemed from sin.

Exodus 15:13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed:thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

During the earthly ministry of our Lord, He challenged the scribes and Pharisees to check the scriptures and they will discover Him.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

As you go from the book of Genesis to Revelation, you will discover each book of the Bible reveals our Lord.

He is the Seed of the woman in Genesis. The Lamb without blemish in Exodus. The High Priest like Aaron in Leviticus. He is Prophet like Moses in Deuteronomy. He is the Captain of the host of the Lord in Joshua.

So God told Moses that they should slay a Lamb without blemish for their redemption from captivity and sin. See it.

This was symbolic of what the Lord Jesus Christ was going to do for believers of all ages and you in particular. See it.

1Pe 1:18 — 1Pe 1:19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

The Bible severally reveals that our Lord Jesus Christ was holy, sinless and spotless. See it.

Hebrews 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Act 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

Act 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

In fact our Lord challenged the Pharisees, who among them convinceth Him of sin?

Jn 8:46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Beloved if your Lord is free from any blemish, if you desire to live with Him in heaven and be part of the dawning rapture and the subsequent marriage supper of the Lamb, then you are under compulsion to resemble Him and be free from blemishes too.

This is not optional it is compulsory. See these.

1. Jesus our Lord and savior is coming for a church or believers without blemish when the dawning rapture shall take place.

Eph 5:25 — Eph 5:27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

2. You must wear a fine linen without blemish or spot to be part of the subsequent marriage supper of the Lamb.

Rev 19:6 — Rev 19:9 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

3. You must be free from blemishes and defilements before you can enter heaven.

Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

The question is your profession of being a believer or wise virgin expecting the coming of our Lord in the air. Are you free from blemishes?

You can not afford to be presumptuous. You must be very sure. So suspend everything you are doing. Check up now. Are you free from blemishes ? Examine yourself.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Whatever your discovery is. If you need to buy anything to remove the blemishes. Buy it now. Don’t fall a victim of the foolish virgins. What happened to them shall not be your portion in Jesus name.

Mat 25:1 — Mat 25:13 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

But then what is a blemish or what are blemishes?

Blemishes are shameful, moral disgrace, licentious lifestyle, spoiled with flaws, noticeable imperfection, something that seriously impairs your appearance as a believer, spiritual deformity , deface, disfigure , defilements, spots etc. See how the scriptures describes them.

2 Peter 2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

Mar 7:20 — Mar 7:23 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Beloved, any of the above discovered in your life in particular, contradicts your profession as a believer. See what you must be as a biblical believer.

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Col 1:21 — Col 1:22 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Rev 14:4 — Rev 14:5 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

Our Lord is willing to help you in particular to attain this status to help you to be ready for the dawning rapture.

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Calvary is still flowing ceaselessly with his Crimson blood.

1Jo 3:1 — 1Jo 3:3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Heb 9:13 — Heb 9:14 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Apart from this, He also admonish you in particular on what to do to attain this status apart from the provision of His blood. See what you must do.

1 Cleanse yourself and remaining cleansed.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Make sure you are walking on this road. Only those on the road shall be part of the dawning rapture.

Isa 35:8 — Isa 35:9 And an highway shall be there, and a way,and it shall be called The way of holiness;the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those:the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there,nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon,it shall not be found there;but the redeemed shall walk there:

Mat 7:13 — Mat 7:14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
