Write this letter to the angel of the church in Smyrna. This is the message from the one who is the First and the Last, who was dead but is now alive:

And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Smyrna write: These are the words of the First and the Last, Who died and came to life again:

Jesus Christ our Lord and Redeemer is the first and the last. He is the first, for by him all things were made, and he was before all things with God and was God himself.

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

He is the last, for all things are made for him, and he will be the Judge of all.

John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Acts 10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

In deed He is the first and the last, because He is Aloha and Omega.

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

This same title surely is the title of God, the Father, from everlasting and to everlasting,.

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Isaiah 48:12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

This same title of God the Father, is also the title of one that is an unchangeable mediator between God and man, Jesus, the same yesterday, to-day, and for ever.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

He was the first, for by him the foundation of the church was laid in the patriarchal state and he is the last, for by him the top-stone will be brought forth and laid in the end of time.

He was dead and is alive. He was dead, and died for our sins , but he is alive, for he rose again for our justification, and he ever lives to make intercession for us.

Romans 4:25
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; – Revelation 2:8

He was dead, and by dying purchased salvation for us and He is alive, and by His life applies this salvation to us.

And if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled by his death, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Romans 5:10
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Beloved brethren, all you need is Jesus. Truly without Him, you can do nothing, but through Him, the sky is your beginning.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

This is because you are complete in Him and Him alone.

Colossians 2:10
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

So cleave to Him, till He comes.

Acts 11:23
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
