Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | September 7, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | THE BITTER CUP OF SUFFERING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST | Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat;and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. – Psalms 69:20-21
Beloved glean a lifetime lesson from this. Some years ago, a man wanted to attain certain level of satanic powers through a particular book. He read about the benefits of accessing the powers but was also cautioned, that should be do the things written in the book and accessed the powers, he has gotten to the point of no return. His soul have been consigned forever to satan. Reading about this, he withdrew and desperately sought a way out of not selling his precious undying soul to satan.
Beloved pause here. Have you gotten to the point of no return with Jesus? Have you broken all the bridges of alternatives to follow Jesus and Jesus alone.
If Jesus must be anything to you, He must be everything. Remember, He began the love, before you reciprocated your love.
1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
It must be Jesus and no other thing, or no other one.
Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Luk 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon

Is this your present situation? Have you broken every bridge? If not, why not?
Hum can your boss in the office look at you and shook His head, realizing, you are completely sold out l to Jesus? Can your spouse look at you and call the children and say your father or mother has been completely sold out to Christ?
Can your neighbors and colleagues in the office look at you and shake their heads, because of your resolute decision to follow on with Jesus through thick and thin.
This can only happen when you have broken every bridge behind you and everything concerning you revolves around Jesus and Jesus alone. See these.
1Co 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Jn 6:66 — Jn 6:69 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Rom 8:35 — Rom 8:39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Rev 14:4 — Rev 14:5 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Beloved, why must you brake every bridge and cleave to Jesus and Him alone?
It was your realization of the bitter cup , He drank just for you in particular to be redeemed. See these.
Psa 69:20 — Psa 69:21 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat;and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Isa 50:5 — Isa 50:6 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

Lamentations 1:12 Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me,
wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.
Isa 53:4 — Isa 53:8 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
So whatever others are doing, you must as a matter of compulsion, live for Jesus and Jesus alone, till you meet Him in the air , after the dawning rapture. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.
2Co 5:14 — 2Co 5:15 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
1Pe 4:1 — 1Pe 4:2 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
