The bands of the wicked have robbed [ have wrapped me round and surrounded ] me: but I have not forgotten thy law. – Psalms 119:61
Dearly beloved brethren, over and over both in the old and new testaments , the scriptures affirmed that, Bible believing saints and believers shall be persecuted and reproached because of their righteous stance.
You must never ever be surprised, when you discover, you are being persecuted or reproached for your righteous stance. See what the Bible says.
1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
1 Peter 4:12-14 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
The bands of the wicked have robbed [ have wrapped me round and surrounded ] me: but I have not forgotten thy law. – Psalms 119:61
But then, when you are facing persecution, you must continue to behave like Christian, like our Lord and others did in Bible days. See some instances.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
The bands of the wicked have robbed [ have wrapped me round and surrounded ] me: but I have not forgotten thy law. – Psalms 119:61
This was the plight of king David in this passage. He was been persecuted by wicked people. See it yourself.

The bands of the wicked have robbed me; rather, the snares of wicked men entangled me But I have not forgotten (or, I did not forget) thy Law.
See other Bible verses affirmed his persecution and reaction.
Psalms 119:23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
Psalms 119:157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.

So beloved, brethren, when you too face persecution, because of your faith, do what king David, our Lord Jesus Christ and other saints of old did. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.
