Order my steps [ Direct and guide my footsteps ] in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. – Psalms 119:133
Dearly beloved brethren, the best of saints and all the saints of God, of all generations are blind without guidance of the Lord.
Isa 42:16. And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not;I will lead them in paths that they have not known:I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
The Bible says all the saints of God and you in particular, are blind.
Isaiah 42:19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’s servant?
But then God in love wants to teach you to profit by guiding you.
Psalms 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Isaiah 48:17-18 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. 48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
Order my steps [ Direct and guide my footsteps ] in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. – Psalms 119:133
This guidance is done through the unfailing unchanging eternal words of God.
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
The understanding of this divine guidance by King David through God’s words, compelled him to pray, pleading with God to order his steps.. See it yourself.

Psalm 119:133 Establish my steps and direct them by [means of] Your word; let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Beloved, see this same passage amplified.
Here David prays for two great spiritual blessings, and is, in this verse, as earnest for the good work of God in him as, in the verse before, for the good-will of God towards him. He prays, 1. For direction in the paths of duty: “Order my steps in thy word; having led me into the right way, let every step I take in that way be under the guidance of thy grace.” We ought to walk by rule; all the motions of the soul must not only be kept within the bounds prescribed by the word, so as not to transgress them, but carried out in the paths prescribed by the word, so as not to trifle in them. And therefore we must beg of God that by his good Spirit he would order our steps accordingly.
Beloved, follow this good example and earnestly pray for God’s divine guidance for the rest of your life.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
