SERMON on Plenteousness Through Love For God – Bishop Peter Babalola [ General Overseer of Calvary Light of Christ Bible Church [ CLCBC ] ]

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Proverbs 3:1-9

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 23, 2020 | Preparing for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ

We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ. Preparing for His return should be the longing of saints at this time because his return is very soon.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 23, 2020 | Preparing for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ | We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ. Preparing for His return should be the longing of saints at this time because his return is very soon.

it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. – 2 Kings 2:9 — 11

Beloved, the mercies of the Lord shall continue to avail for you as you remain wise at a time like this.

The perilous time is here and the end of time is fast approaching.

You are a wise person, validate your being wise by giving attention to these two scriptures.

Deuteronomy 32:29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

Col 3:1 — Col 3:4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 23, 2020 | Preparing for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ | We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ. Preparing for His return should be the longing of saints at this time because his return is very soon.

These two scriptures are meant to remind you to always do everything you shall be doing, till Christ comes from the perspective of eternity, for you to be rapture ready.

This becomes absolutely necessary, because of the certainity of the dawning rapture as affirmed from both old and new testaments.

In the time past, there people have been raptured .

Two of them represent the living saints, while the third represent the dead in Christ. See them.

1. Enoch. The first living saint.

Gen 5:21 — Gen 5:24 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

2. The second living saint, Elijah.

2Ki 2:9 — 2Ki 2:11 it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee.

3. Our Lord Jesus Christ, representing the dead in Christ. He died, He rose and received to heaven.

Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Act 1:9 — Act 1:11 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Beloved, see what the blessed Holy Spirit says about the rapture of the dead in Christ and the living saints.

1Th 4:13 — 1Th 4:18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The blessed Holy Spirit made reverence to the word of God. See the word ,He referred to.

Jn 14:1 — Jn 14:3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The dawning rapture shall happen suddenly, please prepare adequately. Ensure you have done your restitutions and have bought all that you needed to buy as a wise virgin.

1Co 15:51 — 1Co 15:52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 22, 2020 | Jesus Christ – the King of Kings who Reigns Forever | He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords – 1 Timothy 6:15

And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon. Then ye shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah. – 1Kings 1:34 -35

Beloved, you will recount that the entire books of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation are all testimonies about our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

The first and second books of the king’s, revealed various appointed kings that reigned over the nation of Israel, God’s own people.

Jesus Christ – the King of Kings who Reigns Forever | He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords – 1 Timothy 6:15

One of such appointed king was king Solomon, beloved by the Lord.

1Ki 1:34 — 1Ki 1:35 And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon. Then ye shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.

Neh 13:26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.

But then like other books in the Bible, these two books revealed Jesus Christ, the only beloved Son of the living God, appointed by Him and set upon the holy hill of Zion, to be King over the entire saints of all ages and you in particular. Hallelujah.

Psa 2:6 — Psa 2:7 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Jesus Christ – the King of Kings who Reigns Forever | He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords – 1 Timothy 6:15

The scriptures both in the old and new testaments, affirmed that Jesus Christ was King. See some of them.

Isa 9:6 — Isa 9:7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Dan 7:13 — Dan 7:14. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Luk 1:31 — Luk 1:33 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Luk 19:35 — Luk 19:40 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Luk 23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it

Jesus Christ – the King of Kings who Reigns Forever | He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords – 1 Timothy 6:15

But then beyond that, Jesus Christ was also the King of Kings. See it.

Rev 19:11 — Rev 19:16 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

1Ti 6:14 — 1Ti 6:15 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Jesus Christ – the King of Kings who Reigns Forever | He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords – 1 Timothy 6:15

Beloved, the most beautiful revealatiom in the Bible, is that by the virtue of your biblical salvation, you become a king under Jesus Christ, the King of Kings.

Rev 1:5 — Rev 1:6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

You must do everything by the special grace of God to be part of the dawning rapture, so that, this glorious privilege shall not elude you. It shall not in Jesus name.

Rev 5:9 — Rev 5:10 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Jesus Christ – the King of Kings who Reigns Forever | He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords – 1 Timothy 6:15

THE UNDOING OF SOLOMON – 1 kings 11:1-2 – But king Solomon loved many strange women. Of the nations which the Lord said Ye shall not go in to them

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 21, 2020 | THE UNDOING OF SOLOMON [ He Loved many Strange women ] – 1 kings 11:1-2 – But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; Of the nations concerning which the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love

Beloved, God did something very very important at the outset of creation. He separated light from darkness. See it yourself.

Gen 1:3 — Gen 1:4 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

The scriptures says let no man put asunder what God joined together. In the same token, what God had put asunder, let no man join together.

The blessed Holy Spirit amplifies what the Lord did from the outset, by saying severally in the scriptures that believers and you in particular must not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.

THE UNDOING OF SOLOMON – 1 kings 11:1-2 – But king Solomon loved many strange women. Of the nations which the Lord said Ye shall not go in to them

This you see in both old and new testaments. See some of them.

Deu 7:1 — Deu 7:4. When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

Isaiah 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.

2Co 6:14 — 2Co 6:18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

THE UNDOING OF SOLOMON – 1 kings 11:1-2 – But king Solomon loved many strange women. Of the nations which the Lord said Ye shall not go in to them

1Co 5:9 — 1Co 5:11 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1Jo 2:15 — 1Jo 2:17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

THE UNDOING OF SOLOMON – 1 kings 11:1-2 – But king Solomon loved many strange women. Of the nations which the Lord said Ye shall not go in to them

Beloved, it was very unfortunate, that after God had blessed and prospered king Solomon exceedingly, he disregarded this very important word of God.

1Ki 11:1 — 1Ki 11:2 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; Of the nations concerning which the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

Neh 13:26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.

You must be very very careful not to fall into this shameful act, because of its fearsome and dreadful consequences here and hereafter. .

You must not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers in friendship, marriage, worship, business , indoor or outdoor games etc

THE UNDOING OF SOLOMON – 1 kings 11:1-2 – But king Solomon loved many strange women. Of the nations which the Lord said Ye shall not go in to them

See some of the consequences of doing so.

God destroyed the first world with flood, because of unequal yoke in marriage. See it yourself.

Gen 6:1 — Gen 6:2 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Sons of God were lineage of righteous Seth and daughters of men were the lineage of wicked, cruel and murderous Cain.

Gen 6:5 — Gen 6:7 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

THE UNDOING OF SOLOMON – 1 kings 11:1-2 – But king Solomon loved many strange women. Of the nations which the Lord said Ye shall not go in to them

In the same token, God destroyed the business fortunes of Jehoshaphat a righteous king, who joined affinity with wicked king Ahazaiah of Samaria.

2Ch 20:35 — 2Ch 20:37 And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly: And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongeber. Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the Lord hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

To avert this kind of fearsome judgment of God here and hereafter. Please determinedly avoid the sin of unequal yoke.

May God help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 20, 2020 | No Good Promise of God hath ever Failed | 1 Kings  8:56  – Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

Beloved, many times you receive  revelations  from the scriptures or your own dreams and visions, and they seemed incredible and absolutely impossible.
You wonder whether those revealetions would ever come to pass.
True with you, they might not come to pass , but with God on your side, they shall all come to pass. This shall continually be your portion in Jesus name.

Mar 10:27  And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Luke 1:37  For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Ephesians 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

No Good Promise of God hath ever Failed | 1 Kings  8:56  – Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people, according to all that he promised:
This was exactly what happened to king Solomon.
If you recount, God took the kingdom from Saul and gave it to David.
King David had great passion to build a temple for the Lord.
God sent Nathan the Prophet to him, that  He would not take the kingdom from him as He did to Saul.
He also promised him, that his son, that would reign after him, shall built him the temple he had in mind and not himself. See the promises.

2Sa 7:4 — 2Sa 7:13   And it came to pass that night, that the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying, Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in? Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar? Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel: And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth. Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime, And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
Now , see the fulfillment as God promised.

1Ki 8:12 — 1Ki 8:21  Then spake Solomon, The Lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever. And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;) And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying, Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel. And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the Lord God of Israel. And the Lord said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart. Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name. And the Lord hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and have built an house for the name of the Lord God of Israel. And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the Lord, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

No Good Promise of God hath ever Failed | 1 Kings  8:56  – Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people, according to all that he promised:

Beloved always remember that God is faithful.

Deu 7:9  Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

1Co 1:9  God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Heb 10:23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

As you count on the faithfulness of God and His unfailing promises like Sarah,  Abraham and the children of Israel in the days of Joshua, then all the promises, He made for you too shall come to pass in Jesus name.

Hebrews 11:11  Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Rom 4:18 — Rom 4:21  Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Joshua 23:14  And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.

No Good Promise of God hath ever Failed | 1 Kings  8:56  – Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people, according to all that he promised:

Be expectant, because God’s promises shall be fulfilled in your life too in Jesus name.

1 Kings  8:56  Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

No Good Promise of God hath ever Failed | 1 Kings  8:56  – Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people, according to all that he promised:

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 19, 2020 | And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart that he excelled exceeding much and was wiser than all men – 1 Kings 4:29

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about. – 1 Kings 4:29-31

Beloved do you have great desires?

You have not sin. There are two things that shall help you actualize your desires.

1. Let God of heaven alone be your lifetime delight.

Psalms 37:4. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

2. Ensure your lofty desires align with God’s infallible words in the Bible.

1 John 5:14 -15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

When these are always in place, God Himself shall help you hasten your actualization. This is because, He shall be glorified through it.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 19, 2020 | And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart that he excelled exceeding much and was wiser than all men – 1 Kings 4:29

Psalms 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Beloved, you are going to discover from the scriptures, why your focus should be on God and God alone for your actualization. See these:

1. Only God can help you build and keep your life.

Psalms 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

2. God alone gives power and wisdom for wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 19, 2020 | And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart that he excelled exceeding much and was wiser than all men – 1 Kings 4:29

3. Only God’s blessings makes you rich without sorrow and stress.

Pro 10:22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

4. No one can receive anything, except given to Him, by God from heaven.

John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

5. Every good things come from heaven and are given by God.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 19, 2020 | And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart that he excelled exceeding much and was wiser than all men – 1 Kings 4:29

6. God gives you good things without upbraiding you.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

7. He provided for you according to His riches in glory.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

8. He daily loads His children with blessings. This shall be your portion in Jesus name.

Psalms 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 19, 2020 | And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart that he excelled exceeding much and was wiser than all men – 1 Kings 4:29

No wonder Solomon received wisdom from God and it gave him global recognition and respect.

1Ki 4:29 — 1Ki 4:31 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

1 Kings 4:34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

Beloved, God can do what He did for Solomon again. He will surely do it for you in particular in Jesus name.

So begin to look to Him alone, knowing fully that no one looks to Him and was ever disappointed.

Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else

Psalms 34:5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 19, 2020 | And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart that he excelled exceeding much and was wiser than all men – 1 Kings 4:29

See to it that all your cares are casted upon Him and Him alone.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

This becomes absolutely necessary because, doing otherwise would earn such a person a curse.

But then you shall be blessed here and hereafter. So trustfully reach out to Him, henceforth for all things, till Jesus comes.

Jer 17:5 — Jer 17:8 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 18, 2020 | Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad – 1 Kings 3:9

In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee – 1 Kings 3:5.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? – 1 Kings 3:9

Beloved, it is praiseworthy to know that you are a wise person. I pray for you that here and hereafter, the wisdom of God shall benefit you in particular immensely in Jesus name.

Pro 9:12. If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself:but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad – 1 Kings 3:9

One thing that will help you sustain your lifestyle of being a wise person, is to addict yourself to doing the sayings of Christ, till He comes.

Mat 7:24 — Mat 7:27. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

One thing is most certain. If you in particular addict yourself to the sayings of Jesus, you shall surely end up as one of the wise virgins in the parable of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mat 25:6 — Mat 25:13. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad – 1 Kings 3:9

Beloved wise believers like you pursue just one thing. Just one goal.

Eternal things. See how the scriptures reveal classified one things you must pursue.

1. Dwelling in the house of God forever in yonder.

Psalms 27:4. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

Psalms 23:6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

2. Lifetime Fellowship with Christ

Luk 10:41 — Luk 10:42. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

3. Your eternal wellbeing.

Deuteronomy 32:29. O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
Proverbs 19:20. Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad – 1 Kings 3:9

4. Readiness for the dawning rapture.

Col 3:1 — Col 3:4. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

5.. Avoiding the dreadful great tribulation.

Rev 3:10 — Rev 3:11 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

6. Giving priority to God in all things.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad – 1 Kings 3:9

7. Making a right choice before God at all times.

1 Kings 3:5. In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.

1 Kings 3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad – 1 Kings 3:9

Beloved, if you are addicted to pursuing any or all of the above things. Then it becomes very easy to receive incredible and great things from God.

Just like King Solomon got much more from God, you also shall experience same as you pursue eternal things first.

1 Kings 3:12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

1 Kings 3:13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days

Always remember to addict yourself to doing all things from the perspective of eternity and giving priority to eternal things in your pursuit for self actualization .

Be addicted like these saints.

1Co 16:15. I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad – 1 Kings 3:9

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISPLEASING GOD – 2nd Samuel 11:27 | How can i please God? Discover ways through which we can please Him and also make our lives great.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 15, 2020 | THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISPLEASING GOD – 2nd Samuel 11:27 | How can i please God is the question in many peoples mind. Discover ways through which we can please Him and also make our lives great.

And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord. – 2nd Samuel 11:27

Beloved let it be your unchanging delight and ambition to be like Jesus Christ, our Lord.

There was one distinguishing attribute that characterized  the lifestyle of our Lord all through His earthly ministry. He delighted our Father in heaven by pleasing Him.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISPLEASING GOD – 2nd Samuel 11:27 | How can i please God? Discover ways through which we can please Him and also make our lives great.

See how the scriptures affirms it.

John 8:29  And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

John 4:34  Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Jn 5:30   I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 6:38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

John 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

John 15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

John 17:4  I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISPLEASING GOD – 2nd Samuel 11:27 | How can i please God? Discover ways through which we can please Him and also make our lives great.

No wonder the Father in heaven also made proclamations about Him over and over that He was well pleased with Him.

Matthew 3:17  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 17:5  While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Very very unfortunately, some saints in Bible days and even our contemporary time are doing things displeasing the Father on like Jesus our Lord.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISPLEASING GOD – 2nd Samuel 11:27 | How can i please God? Discover ways through which we can please Him and also make our lives great.

These people paid very dearly for displeasing the Lord. See some of them.

1. King David.

2Sa 11:27  And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.

2Sa 12:10 — 2Sa 12:14  Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun. And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

2.  Onan the son of Judah.

Gen 38:9 — Gen 38:10 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the Lord: wherefore he slew him also.

3.  The children of Israel.

Num 11:1  And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

4. The Jews.

Zch 1:1 — Zch 1:4  In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers. Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
