Dearly beloved brethren, today’s believers differs so much with those in Bible days and days of old.

This is because today’s believers detest and despise the good way , the old time religion.

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

You hardly find a believer this day whose yes is yes and nay is nay.

Mat 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Majority of those who profess religion, find it difficult to perform their oaths. They lack integrity.

Matthew 5:33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

Pause a little and sincerely examine yourself, are you cut up in this web?

This attitude has fearsome consequences here and hereafter on anyone and everyone found guilty.

Should you discover that you are guilty of this shameful attitude, please repent and make necessary corrections and restitutions.

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

No wonder the scriptures severally exhorts Bible believing believers to pay their vows and redeem their pledges to the Lord.

Psalms 116:14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
Psalms 116:18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,
Psalms 22:25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
Psalms 56:12 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
Psa 66:13 — Psa 66:15 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows, Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
Jonah 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
Nahum 1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows:
for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
Psalms 15:4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD.
He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
Job 22:27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
God frowns and punish those who vows and fall to pay them. But then, He blesses those who are faithfil in redeeming their vows.
Ecc 5:4 — Ecc 5:6 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 14, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads – Psalms 109:25.

Dearly beloved brethren, both in the old and new testaments, the scriptures revealed, the shameful and painful things that Jesus Christ our Lord went through, for Him to accomplish the redemption of humanity and you in particular . See some of these things.

Psalms 109:25. I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.
Psa 69:9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
Romans 15:3. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
Isa 50:5 — Isa 50:6 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
Isa 53:4 — Isa 53:7 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,so he openeth not his mouth.
Lamentations 1:12. Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.
Mar 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
October 14, 2020 | I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads – Psalms 109:25

Beloved, in the same way He suffered reproaches for redeeming you from earthly and eternal consequences of sins, so also God will permit you also to suffer for His sake, in appreciation of what He had done for you in particular.

Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
Matthew 5:11. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Romans 8:36. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Beloved, you shall be hated for belonging to Christ.,

Jn 15:18 — Jn 15:19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Jn 17:14 — Jn 17:16. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
1Jo 3:13. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
October 14, 2020 | I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads – Psalms 109:25

Dearly beloved brethren , when you begin to experience this, don’t be surprised. Don’t be moved. It is a worthwhile suffering, which shall culminate in stupendous glory. It shall be so for you in particular in Jesus name. .

Rom 8:17 — Rom 8:18. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
1Pe 4:12 — 1Pe 4:13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy

So endure it joyfully. This is because, you believe in a gospel worth living for and also what dying for. Always remember this.

2 Timothy 2:3. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Proverbs 3:1-9

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 12, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. – Psalms 107:17-18

Dearly beloved brethren there is a message you must determinedly listen to always. This message is that you in particular must be free from sin in all its ramifications.

This is because either on this side of heaven or at eternity, sin has fearsome consequences. See some of these consequences.

1. Consequences of sin on earth.

Psa 107:17 — Psa 107:18 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
Psa 119:67. Before I was afflicted I went astray:but now have I kept thy word.
Num 21:5 — Num 21:9 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
Isa 59:1 — Isa 59:2. Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Jeremiah 2:19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
Lamentations 3:39. Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
Ezekiel 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul draw near unto death. – Psalms 107:17-18

2. Consequences of sin at eternity.

Psalms 9:17. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Exodus 32:33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
Ezekiel 18:4. Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 21:8. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul draw near unto death. – Psalms 107:17-18

It is because of this fearsome consequences, that, the Bible exhorts believers like you in particular, not to sin.

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
1 John 2:1. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul draw near unto death. – Psalms 107:17-18

Beloved, just in case you discover their sin in your life, don’t cover it or justified like Adam did and was severely published.

Job 31:33. If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul draw near unto death. – Psalms 107:17-18

Be wise to uncover your sins, confess and forsake them, immediately. This is because tomorrow might be too late.

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
2 Chronicles 7:14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Isa 55:6 — Isa 55:7 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
2 Corinthians 6:2. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

If you discover it is besetting sin, reach out to Jesus at Calvary, He will save and set you free and you shall be free indeed.

Matthew 1:21. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

May the good Lord help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul draw near unto death. – Psalms 107:17-18

Dearly beloved brethren, you must always remember and live by it , that you are a peculiar treasure unto God.

Exodus 19:5. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Because of your peculiarity, you have some redemptive heritage that makes you and the believers of all ages to be very very special. See some of them.

October 9, 2020 | Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done- Psalms 105:4-5

1. In all things and at all times, you are supposed to be victorious because of the finished works on Christ on the cross of Calvary.

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

You are also to enjoy through Christ, lifelong triumphing in all conflicts, this shall be your experience from now on.

2 Corinthians 2:14. Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Jesus our Lord was a conqueror. Through His finished works on the cross, He made you, more than conquerors.

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
October 9, 2020 | Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done- Psalms 105:4-5

Because the Spirit of God is resident in you, it must enables you to overcome the subtilty, devices, wiles of the devil and his cohorts at all times.

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Jesus the Lion of Juda has given you a lifetime commitment to succor and quicken, you when you are going through any challenges.

Hebrews 2:18. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Our Lord has also committed Himself to ensure you in particular don’t fall into any satanic shares.

Jude 1:24. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
October 9, 2020 | Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done- Psalms 105:4-5

Lastly, He promised to preserve you in particular till His heavenly kingdom.

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Beloved with all these at your disposal, you must never ever be overwhelmed by any conflict of life again till Jesus comes.

The reasons for these are two.

1. The challenges in your life are common temptation, and there is always a way out of them.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The second is your continual ruminating in the marvelous works of God in the lives of saints of old, like Job, Abraham, Joseph, David, Paul and even our Lord Jesus Christ, who went through more traumatic challenges and were victorious at the end of them.. You also shall always be victorious in Jesus name.

Psa 105:4 — Psa 105:5 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
October 9, 2020 | Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done- Psalms 105:4-5

Dearly beloved, go through these marvellous works of God in Bible days as seen below, to reassure you that, if these saints of old were triumphant like these in their more complex challenges, you also shall be triumphant in your present challenges in Jesus name.

Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Heb 11:32 — Heb 11:35 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
Rom 4:17 — Rom 4:21. As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Psalms 77:11 I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
Psalms 103:2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Deu 7:17 — Deu 7:18. If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;

Deuteronomy 32:7-8 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam,he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

October 9, 2020 | Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done- Psalms 105:4-5

Beloved see the promises below that assures you of desired breakthroughs in your present challenges. It shall be so in Jesus name.

Isa 43:18 — Isa 43:19 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Luke 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

Dearly beloved brethren, there is one determined resolution you must make, to make your Christian profession, to have resemblance like the saints of old that walked with God.

You must have mastery over every part of your bodies . You must be in firm control at all times over every part of your bodies.

Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes;whhy then should I think upon a maid?
1 Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

The mastery over your body becomes very important, because any part of your body that is loose, becomes a gateway through which satan entreat you to sin against God and suffer avoidable punishment here and hereafter.

October 6, 2020 | I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; – Psalms 101:3

The following people paid dearly for been delinquent over parts of their bodies.

1. Eve.

Gen 3:6 — Gen 3:7 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Achan

Jos 7:20 — Jos 7:22 And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done: When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it. So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.

King David.

2Sa 11:2 — 2Sa 11:4 And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her
house.
October 6, 2020 | I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; – Psalms 101:3

These three people suffered avoidable pains an loses for their inability to control what their eyes saw. This shall not be your portion in Jesus name.

But then, see these saints that have mastery over their bodies were blessed by God. You must follow their good example until Jesus comes.

Joseph

Gen 39:7 — Gen 39:10 And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

Daniel

Dan 1:8 — Dan 1:9. But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.
October 6, 2020 | I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; – Psalms 101:3

Beloved, to help you be in control over your bodies, see what the scriptures says, you must be doing, as a matter of compulsion.

1. Avoid tempting objects

Psalms 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

2. Live a consistent holiness lifestyle.

Isaiah 33:15. He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions,that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes,that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

3. Separate from any persons, that can make you to sin, no matter the gains you derive from such people.

Mark 9:43-48. if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
October 6, 2020 | I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; – Psalms 101:3

4. Live a crucified lifestyle, dead to sin, self, flesh and the worldly systems of doing things.

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 3, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth. – Psalms 96:12-13.

Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour has been ordained by our loving Father in heaven, to be the Judge that shall decide, where every human beings, shall spend eternity.

John 5:22. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
Romans 2:16. In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

The scriptures reveals our Lord as the righteous judge that shall judge the whole world in righteousness.

Psa 96:12 — Psa 96:13. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
October 3, 2020 | Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD – Psalms 96:12-13.

He Himself during His earthly ministry, spoke about the fact that He would be the one to judge at the end of time .

John 5:22. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Matthew 16:27. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matthew 25:31-46. When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
October 3, 2020 | Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD – Psalms 96:12-13.

The blessed Holy Spirit through the writings of the apostles, affirmed that our Lord shall be the Judge at the end of time.

Acts 10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
Act 17:30 — Act 17:31 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Th 1:7 — 2Th 1:10. And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
October 3, 2020 | Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD – Psalms 96:12-13.

But then, beloved brethren, our Lord shall sit to judge twice. The first , is to reward the saints for their labour of love to advance His kingdom, during the marriage supper of the Lamb.

2Co 5:9 — 2Co 5:10 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

You must endeavour to be part of it , not as an onlooker but as part of those that shall he rewarded. So apart from living righteously which is good, join it with labouring for the Lord, to advance His kingdom and be rewarded in the marriage supper of the Lamb.

1 Corinthians 15:58. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Col 3:23 — Col 3:24. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
October 3, 2020 | Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD – Psalms 96:12-13.

The second sitting is at the white throne judgment for sinners from the days of Cain, who killed Abel. Everyone that appears for this judgment shall be condemned and sent to the lake of fire. It shall not be your portion in Jesus name. So do everything to avoid it. The good Lord shall shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Rev 20:11 — Rev 20:15. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 2, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wraththat they should not enter into my rest. – Psalms 95:8-11

Dearly beloved brethren, you must determinedly avoid the undoing of many in Bible days and even in our contemporary times.

These undoing have to do with their stiffneckedness and hardness of heart. See, how the scriptures affitms this.

Exo 32:9 And the Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
Exo 33:3 — Exo 33:6 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way. And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments. For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee. And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.
Psa 95:8 — Psa 95:11 harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wraththat they should not enter into my rest.
Jn 12:37 — Jn 12:41 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Act 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 2, 2020 | Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, as in the day of temptation in the wilderness – Psalms 95:8

These hardness and stiffneckedness caused them avoidable earthly and eternal sufferings. This shall not be your portion in Jesus name.

It was this hardness of heart, that deprived almost all the children of Israel from getting to the promised land.

In the same token, this undoing sent them to captivity in Babylon. . Many of them were ultimately damned and ended up in hell.

Psa 137:1 — Psa 137:4 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land?
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Dan 5:18 — Dan 5:22 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour: And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down. But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will. And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 2, 2020 | Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, as in the day of temptation in the wilderness – Psalms 95:8

Dearly beloved, because you are not going to fall a victim of this avoidable repercussions and consequences, you must a matter of compulsion do these two things.

1. Heed the following warnings of the blessed Holy Spirit.

Heb 3:7 — Heb 3:11 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Heb 4:7. Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Jer 4:4 Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 2, 2020 | Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, as in the day of temptation in the wilderness – Psalms 95:8

2. Yield yourself to God and allow Him to do the second work of grace in your heart.

Deuteronomy 30:6. And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
Ezekiel 36:26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

The good Lord shall help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 1, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? – Psalms 94:20

Beloved brethren, something happened when our Lord Jesus Christ was on the cross. For the very first time since eternity past, God the Father, separated Himself from Him.

Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Beloved, if our loving Father in heaven forsook Jesus our Lord, because, He was carrying our sins, this reality should reveal ,never to be forgotten message to wise brethren, like you.

This means that God has no sacred cow, He will separate Himself from anyone and everyone on earth and at eternity on the account of sin. Don’t ever forget. Always remember this. See how the Bible affirms this from both old and new testaments.

Psalms 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
Isa 59:1 — Isa 59:2 Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Psalms 9:17. Tthe wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Zechariah 7:13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:
Pro 1:24 — Pro 1:32 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer;they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Psa 1:5 — Psa 1:6 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Dearly beloved brethren, because you shall not be separated from God here or hereafter, then see what you must conscientiously do from now till Jesus comes.

May the good Lord help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
