Matthew 6:32-33 kjv nkjv nlt esv niv
SEEK God first
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
Seek Righteousness first
and all these things shall be added unto you

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Matthew 6:32-33.

Beloved,  if you go back to memory lane, you shall discover that saints of old were  very wise. God will make you too, to be wise like them in Jesus name.
The reason why they were wise, was their unchanging  resolve  to give priority to eternal things in their lives.
They never desired anything or  enter into any relationship with anyone that would negatively affect their eternal fortune or well being.
You also must resolve to follow this laudable pathway for your eternal well-being.

Deuteronomy 32:29. O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

Psalms 34:9 -10. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Psalms 84:11-12. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Proverbs 2:1-9. My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

Proverbs 3:9 -10. Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:  So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Beloved, there were two major  reasons why the saints of old chose this pathway. The first reason  was to avert the consequences the Jews of old suffered , when they relegated eternal things.
Then, they pursued their earthly ambitions  and never bothered about the shameful position of the temple of God.
Very unfortunately, they suffered avoidable punishment, that even slowed them down or even hindered them, from accomplishing their desired pursuit.
See it, learn from it and avoid it, till Jesus comes. The good Lord shall help you in Jesus name.

Haggai 1:2 -11. Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’S house should be built.  Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste? Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. ¶Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD. Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands..

But then, this misfortune was reverted when they determined to rebuild the neglected temple.

Haggai 2:16 -19. Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were butten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.  I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.  Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD’S temple was laid, consider it.  Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.

Secondly,  they remembered what God did for Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Daniel etc, who placed  earthly things secondary in their walk with God.
Never ever forget this wholesome lesson. See how God blessed sone of them, for taken this laudable decision.
King Solomon

1 Kings 3:11 -13. And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

Widow of Zarephath

1 Kings 17:10-16. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.

King Hezekiah

2 Chronicles 31:20 -21. And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

Moses

Hebrews 11:24-27. By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Beloved this informed why Jesus encouraged His followers to follow this pathway for their earthly and eternal wellbeing.
See it and do same and be blessed. You shall be blessed in Jesus name.
Dearly beloved,  from the outset of the ministries of both John the Baptist and our Lord, they emphasized repentance through which their hearers would secure the kingdom of God.
I am persuaded you too have repented biblical. If not go ahead and do it right a way.

Matthew 3:2: And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4:17: ¶From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

In addition our Lord  and the blessed Holy Spirit , emphasised the need for believers  and you, to tirelessly hunger for biblical righteousnesses.

Matthew 5:6: Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Romans 3:21-22. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

1 Corinthians 1:30: But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

2 Corinthians 5:21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus our Lord passionately encouraged His followers and that includes you, never ever to  gain anything at the expense of their eternal wellbeing.
Himself and the blessed Holy Spirit  also admonished them to always pursue and give priority to heavenly things.

Matthew 16:26. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Luke 18:29 -30. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

Luke 12:31: ¶But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

John 6:27: Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Colossians 3:1-4. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Glory to God, all through the earthly ministry of our Lord, He lived the lifestyle that agreed with His teachings as an example for His followers of all ages and you to emulate and follow.

Hebrews 1:8-9. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Dearly beloved, interestingly the Bible days believers heeded this admonition of our Lord implicitly and wholeheartedly, having seeing  the good example He lived.
See some instances and do likewise.
Peter and other apostles.

Mark 10:28-30. Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Zechariah and Elizabeth.

Luke 1:5-6. There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

Mary

Luke 10:38-42. Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Dearly beloved, remember your earthly and eternal wellbeing can be secured  only by giving priority to eternal things and never acquire anything and everything at the expense of your undying soul.
The good Lord shall help you in Jesus name.
JESUS ADMONISHED HIS FOLLOWERS OF ALL AGES AND YOU TO GIVE ATTENTION TO ETERNAL THINGS FIRST, BEFORE ANY OTHER THINGS.
Friend, your desire to partake in the dawning rapture shall be realised in Jesus name.
However, you need to back up your earnest desire with corresponding actions.
One major requisite that shall help you realise your dream is, seeking the kingdom of God  and  His righteousness  first.
See how to go about it through God’s grace.

Psalms 37:18 -19. The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.  They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

Isaiah 33:15-17. He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

1 Timothy 4:8: For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Hebrews 11:14-16. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Hebrews 13:5: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Receive grace to do this, till Christ comes in Jesus name.
