SANCTIFIED AND MEET FOR THE MASTER’S USE

KnowingJESUS Daily Devotional | September 24, 2019 – Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – SANCTIFIED AND MEET FOR THE MASTER’S USE

2Ti 2:21  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Beloved, when you read the Bible and discover the supernatural wrought by men of like passion  like you in the time past.  You sometimes marvel and wish you too could attain such heights.. But then there was nothing extra ordinary about these  saints.  What they attained were accomplished by the choice they made.
Interestingly,  sane opportunity and privileges  are available to you too,  if you  too will  make the choice they made.
See the following :
1. God your loving Father,  still remains unchanged.

Malachi 3:6  For I am the Lord, I change not;  therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed

2. The call they answered  is still subsisting to the end of time.

Isa 6:8Isa 6:9  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.  And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

Ezekiel 22:30  And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Beloved,  the difference between these saints and you perhaps is your unwillingness to pay the price and consecrate  all to God,  like them.  Now see this clarion call to today’s  believers  which includes you.

2Ti 2:202Ti 2:21  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

In the kingdom of God,  you decide whether you will be a vessel of honour or dishonour,  yourself.
If you choose to be vessel of honour then you purge yourself  of  sin, self,  flesh ,  the world and follow Jesus. . This was simply what all these saints did. So join them by heeding the call of God and purge yourself.  May the good Lord help you in particular in Jesus name.
Enoch turned his back to the world and walked with God.  Do same and become another
Enoch.

Gen 5:21Gen 5:24  And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Moses refused the throne of Egypt. Do sane stop pursuing ephemeral and  transient things and work for Christ.

Heb 11:24Heb 11:26  By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Ezra began to study the law and God used Him. Begin to study the Bible  and obey it and God shall use you.

Ezra 7:10  For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

Nehemiah saw the need to rebuild the broken wall of Jerusalem.  God never called him to do so.  Then God used him. Begin to reach out in love to the unsaved  in your world of influence.  Then see what God shall do.

Neh 1:1Neh 1:11  The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven, And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments: Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned. We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses. Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there. Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand. O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

Daniel  purged himself.  Do same from now on.  God shall notice you and use you .

Daniel 1:8  But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Saul of Tarsus  who became apostle Paul. Paul became more relevant than all the apostles before him, because he laboured more.  Do same and become peculiar to God.

Act 9:3Act 9:6 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

1Co 15:10  But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Beloved,  God has placed an open cheque before you.  Make your choice and become a vessel of honour now and at eternity.  May the Lord help you in Jesus name.

2Ti 2:202Ti 2:21  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work

Dearly beloved, study the Bible,  you shall discover some glorious things happened to our Lord by His choice,  not automatic.  See some of them.
1. His exalted name.

Phi 2:5Phi 2:11  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

2. His immeasurable anointing.

Hebrews 1:9  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

John 3:34  For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

Now Jesus has thrown the same opportunity open to you in particular.   So come in and become peculiar.

Mat 9:37Mat 9:38  Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Jesus is looking for labourers.  Are you available?  The choice is yours,  come leave all,  like the believers  of old.
The same open cheque Jesus gave was reaffirmed and reestablished by the  blessed Holy  Spirit.  See it.

See those believers in the new testament  became what they became by choice,  not by luck.
1. Mathew became apostle by choice.

Matthew 9:9  And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

2. Peter and others became apostles by choice.

Mat 19:27Mat 19:29  Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

3. Timothy  became bishop and next in rank in the ministry of apostle Paul by choice.

Phi 2:19Phi 2:23  But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s. But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.

4. It is your turn.  Please answer this call and become another apostle of choice.

Act 16:9Act 16:10  And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

Go reach out to your unsaved spouse ,  children,  parents,  siblings,  close and extended  relatives,  colleagues in place of work and neighbours. Bring then to Christ.  Doing so shall make you too a vessel of honour in Jesus name.
Friend,  the rapture is dawning.  Unfortunately,  those that shall partake shall do so by choice.
Only believers  that purge themselves shall be part.  I am sure you will purge yourself.

How would you do so?
1. Become one of the  wise virgins.

Mat 25:1Mat 25:13  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

2. Be wise. Hear and do the entirety of the words of Jesus in the Bible.

Mat 7:24Mat 7:26  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

Purge and separate yourself from everything and everyone that wants to hinder you from the two things above.  God’s grace shall avail for you in Jesus name.
