Leviticus  20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.  20:8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

Ephesians  5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;  5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,  5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

It is very important that you must be cleansed from all sins without and within.

1 John  1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1. Sins without biblical salvation.

Ezekiel  36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

1 Corinthians  6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

2. Sins within biblical sanctification.

Mark  7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,  7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:  7:23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Revelation  21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Jesus prayed for us to be sanctified.

John  17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.  17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

He paid for our sanctification 

Hebrews  13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.  13:13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

Sanctification is a  major requisite for partaking in the imminent rapture 

1 Thessalonians  5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sanctification is the second work of grace subsequent to biblical salvation.

After you are genuinely born again and become a new creature, , you then ask the Lord to sanctify you.

John  3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Then reach out to any of the Triune God, for either of the three can sanctify you.

Sanctification through God the Father.

Sanctification through  Christ Jesus our Master and Lord.

Sanctification through theHoly Spirit 

Romans  15:15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,  15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Remember if you will ever have access to heaven, you must have experienced the second work of grace, sanctification through which you are cleansed from all defilements.
