Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 14, 2020 | REMEMBERING THE MARVELOUS WORKS OF GOD | David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine – 1 Samuel 17:32-37

And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee. – 1 Samuel 17:32-37

Beloved, all your lofty dreams and aspirations according to God’s word shall be fulfilled in Jesus name.

Let it delight you that God is interested and rejoices when His children attain great heights. This shall be your portion in Jesus name.

Psalms 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

But then the pathway to attaining your widest dreams through God, without stress, is to commit yourself to meditating on His marvelous works.

What this means is to recount on great things God had done in your life in the time past or what He had done for others, who were confronted with same challenges before you.

1 Chronicles 16:12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

Doing this will help you to surmount in the strength of the Lord, every obstacles on your way to possessing your possessions.

1Sa 17:49 — 1Sa 17:51 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

The Bible is repleted with innumerable numbers of saints who have experienced incredible things through God in the time past. It is your own turn to experience same. It shall be so in Jesus name.

1. Sarah’s incredible conception and the birth of Isaac.

Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

2. The crossing of the Red sea by Israel.

Exo 14:21 — Exo 14:22 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

3. The miraculous provision of drinkable water from the rock.

Exo 17:3 — Exo 17:6 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst? And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me. And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go. Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

4. Bitter river Marah became sweet through God’s intervention.

Exo 15:23 — Exo 15:25 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

5. The miraculous pulling down of the wall of Jericho.

Hebrews 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

6. Numerous inexplanable marvels saints of old experienced through God.

Heb 11:32 — Heb 11:35 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

7. The uncommon pardon of the malefactor crucified with Jesus.

Luk 23:39 — Luk 23:43 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Beloved, you can equally attained blissful eternity with God, by dwelling on marvelous things others have experienced through God.

This was what apostle Peter experienced, recounting on great things, our Father in heaven did for Jesus our Lord on the mount of transfiguration .

2Pe 1:13 — 2Pe 1:18 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me. Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

So beloved take advantage of marvelous things you have experienced through God in the time past or same that others have attained for your stress-free actualization of your godly lifetime and eternal aspirations. They shall be so for you in particular in Jesus name.
