Purge yourself of every besetting sin for a secured eternity.

Purge yourself of every besetting sin for a  secured eternity.

Hebrews  12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Beloved Brethren, there is something no one else can help you to do. You must do it yourself. The bucks stops with you and you alone.

Purge yourself of every damnable besetting sin that is set to deprive you of eternity with God.

This besetting sin was the undoing of the people of old and angels of the past that lost eternity.

Examine yourself and determinedly purge yourself of little lies, exaggeration,  worldliness, lust , pride and inordinate ambition like Absalom and Lucifer etc

2 Corinthians  13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Remember you are running a race that you must win through the help of Christ our Master and Lord.

1 Corinthians  9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.  9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.  9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:  9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Always ensure your bodies remain a living sacrifice and blameless before God.

Romans  12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Thessalonians  5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Desist with utmost determination never to build again what you have once destroyed.

Galatians  2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

This is the singular vice that undo these people and angels of old.

Judas

Mark  14:10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.  14:11 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

Lot’s wife

Luke  17:32 Remember Lot’s wife.

Demas

2 Timothy  4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Esau

Hebrews  12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;  12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.  12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Nicholas : once saved forever saved.

Acts  6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

Revelation  2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

Revelation  2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

Lucifer  son of the morning

Isaiah  14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!  14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:  14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.  14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Ezekiel  28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.  28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.  28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.  28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.  28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.  28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.  28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

God’s unfailing grace will be sufficient for you till Christ comes, as you continue to set your affections on things above in Jesus name.

Colossians  3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Let us pray.
