Knowing Jesus Daily Devotional | And I will pour upon the house of David, a powerful weapon which is the spirit of grace and of supplications { Prayer } – Zechariah 12:10

Prayer is a force. It touches eternal powers and sets them in motion; it moves God to action. Satan trembles because of the powerful surge prayer releases , the unfolding of an intense spiritual labor that results in great visible works.
Beloved, the scriptures says my people, God’s own people and children are taken captive and destroyed for lack of knowledge. You shall not be taken captive or be destroyed in Jesus name.

Isaiah 5:13. Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

Hosea 4:6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

The knowledge they lacked was the fact that God’s promises in the Bible are fulfilled in the lives of everyone and anyone on the altar of perseverance and consistent prayers.

Ezekiel 36:37. Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

God told Elijah, He would send rain after the three and half years famine. But this was only fulfilled after Elijah had prayed seven times on the mount.

1 Kings 18:1. And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

That was the promise of rain from God, but see how it was fulfilled.

1 Kings 18:41-45. And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not. And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

So remember when God promised you something in your dreams or discover His promises in the Bible, you can only get them fulfilled as you prayed perseveringly.
See sons promises of God on prayer and see how saints of old, got them actualised.

Psalms 50:15. And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Psalms 91:14-15. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

Isaac wife was barren. He prayed to triumph.

Genesis 25:21. And Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Jacob:’s life was threatened by Esau his brother, determined to revenge. He overcame by earnest prayer.

Genesis 32:24-28. And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Beloved, this was the great promise God gave the Jews and saints of all ages and that includes you, that His promises shall be fulfilled in their lives, as they travailed in supplications. See it.
The Bible is repleted with innumerable promises of victory for God’s people through prevailing prayers . See them.

Isaiah 41:21. Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

Isaiah 43:25-26. I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

Isaiah 62:6-7. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Isaiah 65:24. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Jeremiah 31:9: They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Jeremiah 33:3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Jeremiah 50:4: ¶In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.

Beloved, Jacob is speaking to all saints of all ages including you, that he prevailed over vengeance from his brother through perseverance prayer and that you also, should do sane now, to address this present challenges in your life.
So do likewise.

Hosea 12:2-4. The Lord hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him. He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;

Dearly beloved, if there is anyone that should experience trouble-free live. That should have been our Lord Jesus Christ, but it was not so, He had its share of troubles and trials during His earthly ministry.
But the good news was that He triumphed. However, His victory was accomplished on the altar of consistent and earnest prayers. See them.

Mark 1:35. And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Matthew 14:23. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Luke 6:12. And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Luke 22:41-44. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Our Lord and the blessed Holy Spirit, then took time to teach Bible days believers and also believers of all ages and you in particular, the need for them and you too, to do same. See what they both taught.

Luke 18:1. And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Luke 18:7-8. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Matthew 6:5-6. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Romans 8:26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Romans 12:12: Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Ephesians 6:18: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Colossians 4:2: Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

1 Thessalonians 5:17: Pray without ceasing.

2 Timothy 1:3: I thank God, whom I serve from myforefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

Jude 1:20: But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Dearly beloved, see how Bible days believers addressed their challenges through earnest and persevering prayers.

Acts 4:23-31. And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Acts 12:1-11. Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

So do not be dismayed by the challenges before you, pray and victory shall be yours too in Jesus name.

Philippians 4:6-7. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

JESUS TRIUMPHED DURING HIS EARTHLY MINISTRY THROUGH PERSEVERING AND CONSISTENT PRAYERS. FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE AND TRIUMPH.
Friend, our Lord Jesus Christ and the blessed Holy Spirit taught on the reality and certainly of the dawning rapture severally in the scriptures. See sone of them.

John 14:1-3. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Interestingly, both of them also taught believers of all ages, especially you, that, those that shall partake in this glorious event, shall do so through earnest and persevering prayers.

Matthew 24:42: ¶Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Matthew 25:13: Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Mark 13:33 -37. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Luke 21:25-36. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

1 Peter 4:7: But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Revelation 16:15: Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Friend to help you prepare adequately for the dawning rapture, be committed henceforth to earnest prayers through which you receive strength to overcome all the wiles of satan.

Ephesians 6:18: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
