become what God planned
Be you
God made you to be you. He did not make you to be what somebody else wants you to be. To become what planned, you have to live to only.
God made you to be you. He did not make you to be what somebody else wants you to be. If you’re going to become all you can be, you have to refuse to be defined by others. But live to PLEASE God and God alone.
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased — Matthew 3:17
Beloved, there is not need for you to halt between two opinions. Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.
1 Kings 18:21. And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
If God is your Father and you recognised Him to be so. He demanded something without compromise. It is pleasing Him in all things at all times. You can not be pleasing God and men at the same time. You are not to be men pleasers, if you really wants to be a bonafide child of God.
Galatians 1:10. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
1 Thessalonians 2:4: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
Beloved. Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of your Father in heaven distinguished Himself, living only to please His Father at all times in all things. No wonder the Father made a global proclamation of being completely pleased with Him. See it.
Matthew 3:17. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
The scriptures both in the old and New Testament affirmed that Jesus our Lord pleased His Father and your Father in all things at all times. See some instances.
John 8:29. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Isaiah 42:1: Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Isaiah 42:21: The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
Isaiah 50:5. The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
It is then very very important for you too, as you profess to be a son to the same Father, like Jesus, to be living a lifestyle that is pleasing unto the Him in all things at all times.
1 Corinthians 7:32. But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
Psalms 69:30-31. I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
Not pleasing the Lord has painful consequences. Please avoid if determinedly. See some instances
Genesis 38:9-10. And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the Lord: wherefore he slew him also.
Numbers 11:1. And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
2 Samuel 11:27. And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.
2 Samuel 12:10-12. Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.
1 Thessalonians 2:15-16. Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
But then earthly and eternal blessings avail for saints and believers like you, who live a lifestyle of pleasing the Lord. See some of them.
Proverbs 16:7. When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Isaiah 56:4-5. For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Hebrews 11:5. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
So be determined to please the Lord until Christ comes.
1 Thessalonians 4:1. Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
Dearly beloved, there is no controversy about it, the lifestyle of our Lord, during His earthly ministry, was characterised by pleasing His Heavenly Father. See how He put it Himself, knowing fully, that He is the truth personified.
John 8:29. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
So His Father and your Father announced to the whole world and you in particular, from heaven several times , that He was well pleased with Him.
Matthew 3:17. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 12:18: Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
Matthew 17:5: While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Mark 1:11: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Luke 3:22: And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
See how the lifestyle of our Lord corroborated and validated the proclamation.
John 4:34: Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
John 5:30: I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John 6:38: For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
John 8:28. Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
John 14:31: But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
John 15:10: If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
John 17:4: I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
Hebrews 10:5 -7. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Like Jesus the Bible days believers pleased God, even when it exposes them to life threatening circumstances.
Acts 4:19 -20. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
Acts 5:29: ¶Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
So remember everything Jesus had done is example for you to follow. Pleasing God is not optional for you, but mandatory. This way you shall be blessed here and hereafter. Receive grace to do in Jesus name.
John 13:15. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
1 Peter 2:21. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
JESUS DURING HIS EARTHLY MINISTRY, LIVED A LIFESTYLE OF PLEASING HIS HEAVENLY FATHER, DO LIKEWISE.
Friend, you are persuaded that the end time is here and the rapture is dawning. I am sure your earnest desire is to be part of it. In the name of Jesus, it shall not elude you. Because this is going to be so. You must determinedly avoid a lifestyle of men pleasers.
Ephesians 6:6: Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
Colossians 3:22: Servants, obey in all things yourmasters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
When Enoch determinedly pleased God, He raptured Him, even before Christ came. Since this is your own desire too. You must be doing same till Jesus comes.
Hebrews 11:5. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
See how the scriptures severally commanded believers like you awaiting the coming of the Lord, to be living a lifestyle of pleasing Him.
Colossians 1:10: That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Hebrews 13:21: Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1 John 3:22. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
In addition be doing sacrifices that are well pleasing to God.
Philippians 4:18: But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
This way when He comes you shall be ready in Jesus name.
