Our Mission at Calvary Light Of Christ Bible Church is to make ready a people prepared for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The goal of CLCBC is to introduce all who can be reached to our precious Lord Jesus, whose return to rapture His Church is so imminent. We desire to, and must not delay to, introduce HIM AND MAKE READY every person with whom we come in contact, to those who will listen and hear the call of Jesus on their hearts and lives. HE wants so earnestly to receive all who will hear His voice.

CLCBC is called to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and the beliefs of the evangelical Christian faith, to maintain the worship of God, and to inspire in all persons a love for Christ, a passion for righteousness, and a consciousness of their duties to God and their fellow human beings.

We pledge our lives to Christ and covenant with each other to demonstrate His Spirit through worship, witnessing, and ministry to the needs of the people of this church and the community

• Our mission involves creating a Church that can be a safe gathering place for people to come experience the grace and forgiveness of God; a family of believers where they can find healing for the things that have hurt and wounded their souls; where they can “belong to believe”-that is, where they can be nurtured and discipled into faith in the one true God and in Jesus Christ whom He has sent.

• We carry the gospel, the sacraments, and God’s love and fellowship to the unchurched, the alienated, and the excommunicated (the church’s homeless). Reaching out to the World. Preaching to the Unsaved and Teaching the Saved to Serve. God has called this congregation to courageously represent the kingdom of God through witnessing. God is preparing us, through prophetic preaching and teaching, to bring the hope of the Gospel to our community and “take every thought captive to Christ. do everything in our power to reach as many people with the good news of Jesus Christ as possible. • We’re not about “having it all together” or even pretending we do. We’re just a family trying to grow together toward a God who knows us and can help us put all the pieces of this sometimes bizzare world into perspective. We may not have all the answers but we know someone who does. In fact He not only knows the answers…He made up the questions. It is a fellowship of believers that purpose to know God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to equip believers through discipleship. Showing God’s love, we strive to reach a hungry world with Jesus Christ through obedience to the Great Commission.

• CLCBC focuses upon those who are seeking a “new beginning,” and those who want to become more “Christlike,” and want to learn more about living a “holy life, and for those who are yearning to grow in “love and compassion, and the building of “family relationships.” To yield to the wind of the Holy Spirit blowing through our mist, allowing it to change us into the image of Christ, thus making us the loving people God would have us to be. To bring God’s healing love to hurting people. To bring the joy of being a Christian to a sad world. To bring wisdom and knowledge to an unaware world. To bring good news to the poor. To bind up the broken hear ted. To set free the captives. To preach peace, as Jesus did.

• To communicate to the people of OUR COMMUNITY and the world. The life-changing power of Jesus Christ in a practical and understanding way; To develop them into responsible, productive, successful Christians; And equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world; as they become a part of God’s family, in order to magnify His name.

• We do all to grow in faith and share our faith in God with the world around us. In order to achieve this mission we will:

Strive to be an “open-door” church, actively reaching out and welcoming all persons.

Give our very best efforts towards our weekly corporate worship services.

Provide opportunities for service, outreach, and improvement in our community as well as in the global community of which we are a part.

Model the body of Christ in our inclusiveness of the gifts of all persons and in our relationships with one another as a covenant community, as well as in our daily living.

KEEP MAKING Disciples so that the body of believers can be equipped to live as God commanded. KEEP MINISTERING By using the gift(s) that God has given you to serve HIM and the needs of others.
