– 2nd Samuel 24:24-25
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel. – 2nd Samuel 24:24-25
Beloved, we give all the glory and honor to our Father in heaven for the unspeakable gift of Christ, our Lord, that He gave us His children.
2Co 9:15. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
One of the unique things our Lord did, during His earthly ministry was to live an exemplary lifestyle which becomes a legacy for believers of all ages and you in particular to follow.
John 17:19. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

One distinguishing attribute of His lifestyle was His uncommon benevolent gestures. See as the Bible describes some of them, though they are inexhaustible.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

But then this unique attribute Jesus left for all believers and you especially to replicate.
1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
This becomes necessary because Jesus our Lord was the Light of the world for all believers and you to follow.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
The blessed Holy Spirit further impressed it to all believers and you, the necessity of living a benevolent lifestyle. See it.
Acts 20:35. I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

This gesture was not peculiar to the new testament alone. Even in the old testament, saints of God, takes delight in giving graciously to God.
One of such saints was king David, who had pleasure in given God, costly things. See it yourself.
2Sa 24:24 — 2Sa 24:25 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

Like King David gave bountifully to God, the blessed Holy Spirit reveals the pattern believers today and you in particular, can give abundantly to God in appreciation of the benevolent gestures of Christ.
See how the Bible describes them.
1. Brotherly love.
Heb 13:1 — Heb 13:3 Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
2. Providing required needs to brethren.
Mat 25:34 — Mat 25:40 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

3. Extending same gestures to all men for Christ’s sake
Gal 6:9 — Gal 6:10 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
4. Personal consecration to render reasonable service of exemplary Christlikeness as a lifestyle.
Rom 12:1 — Rom 12:2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
1Co 6:19 — 1Co 6:20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Thessalonians 5:23. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
5. Consecration to advance the kingdom of Christ .
Mar 10:28 — Mar 10:30 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Phi 3:7 — Phi 3:8 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

All of these when done consistently and faithfully earns such believers and you in particular earthly and eternal blessings. This shall be your portion in Jesus name.
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
