And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. – Nehemiah 2:18

Beloved during the earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, He commited Himself to one good work, see it yourself.

Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Prior to His ascension, He equipped His followers of all ages and you in particular, to continue this good work.

Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

It is noteworthy that Bible days believers addicted themselves to this good work in wholehearted obedience to Christ.. See it yourself.

Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Act 8:4 — Act 8:6 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

Very very unfortunately, however, the professing believers of this contemporary time are slacken and busy here and there, pursuing transient things, instead of precious undying souls.

I am persuaded you don’t fall into the categories of these people. So strengthen yourself and rescue the perishing now. But if you are, repent and be obedient to doing this good work.

1Ki 20:39 — 1Ki 20:40 And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver. And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.

Beloved, the unsaved in your world of influence are perishing. What are you doing with them? Your unsaved spouse children parents siblings close and extended family members neighbors and colleagues. If any of them , drop dead today, and goes to eternal flames, see what you shall experience at eternity.

Ezk 3:17 — Ezk 3:21 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

To avoid this, follow the exemplary lifestyle of saints in the days of Nehemiah, who strengthened themselves to do the good work that brought glory to God. See it.

Nehemiah 2:18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.

This good work that you are treating with levity was commissioned by Christ, your loving Redeemer.

Psalms 68:11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Doing it conscientiously will make you wise and earned you enviable rewards at eternity.

Pro 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life;and he that winneth souls is wise.

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Be compassionate, reach out and rescue these people before they dropped into everlasting flames.

Jud 1:22 — Jud 1:23 And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

In addition, reach out to believers who because of the present challenges are looking back like Lot’s wife.

Jam 5:19 — Jam 5:20 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

May the Lord depend on you.
