Dearly beloved brethren, the wonderful revelation from this passage in the life of king David, provides great help for Bible believing believers like you. See the passage again.
In the previous passage, king David discovered, he was a stranger and a sojourner on this side of heaven, like his progenitors.
He besought God to reveal to him, the requisites for living with Him in eternity.
God had responded and king David, discovered , he would need the grace of God to do , the knowledge, God had revealed to him.
Psa 24:3 — Psa 24:4 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
My soul breaketh [ is consumed ] for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments [ your ordinances ] at all times. – Psalms 119:20
Beloved, take a cue from this passage. Without Christ and His grace , you can do nothing. But with Him and His grace, you can do all things.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
My soul breaketh [ is consumed ] for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments [ your ordinances ] at all times. – Psalms 119:20
Beloved, see others in Bible days, that had similar challenges, confronting king David in this passage. So always look up to Jesus for succour.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
See those who received His succour and were triumphant. You also shall be triumphant, as you do, what they did.
1. The disciples of our Lord Jesus.
Luk 17:3 — Luk 17:5 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
Mat 19:7 — Mat 19:12 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
2. The man whose son was severely attacked by the devil.
Mar 9:21 — Mar 9:24 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
My soul breaketh [ is consumed ] for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments [ your ordinances ] at all times. – Psalms 119:20
3. Paul apostle prior to his conversion.
Rom 7:21 — Rom 7:25 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
God’s grace is sufficient for you to be obedient unto God. So reach out to Him , to help you in particular.
2Co 12:9 — 2Co 12:10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.
