Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 6, 2019. Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action] – 1 John 2:1
Beloved, today’s preachers might fail to emphasize what God that changes not places much emphasis on.
The fact remains that the consequences of God on such issue still subsist.
Always remember that from eternity past to the present and till eternity future. Your loving Father in heaven remains the same and unchanged.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
His attitude and decision on sin has not change. He is very very intolerant to sin. He will separate Himself immediately from anyone and everyone.
He will separate Himself from a person like Adam who sinned or Jesus His Son, who was sinless but carried the sins of the whole world.
Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
He will separate Himself from a nation like Israel who through His help defeated a great nation like, Jericho but permitted them to be defeated by a tiny nation Ai, because somebody in the person of Achan sinned.
Jos 7:10-12 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.
He remains intolerant to sin to anyone.
Habakkuk 1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity:wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
Beloved remember God had done everything He needed to do to safe humanity from sinning.
Jn 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1Jo 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Having done all these ,what then remains is His fearful judgement on anyone , who sins or transgress. Even if the person is a David, a man after His heart . Please don’t ever ever forget this.
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
This is because He is a consuming fire.
Deu 4:24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God
Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Beloved, see the unchanging charge of God to saints and believers of all ages and it includes you. He said you in particular should not sin.
Please do not sin because God will never ever over look sin from anyone and everyone.

Psalms 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Ezk 3:20-21 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
Beloved, it doesn’t matter how many people are involved in the sin. God at all times will punish anyone and everyone for sin
Pro 11:21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished:but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
Remember this don’t ever ever forget. Every sin committed by anyone and everyone has wages attached to it.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Eternal damnation is the ultimate consequence of sin for all sinners inside or outside of the church. You shall not be damned. But then do not take God for granted. Don’t sin.
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
If the consequences of sin is so sever. What then is sin?
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
1. It is refusing to do right things. Or sin of omission.
1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
2. It is involvement in unrighteousness.
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
SS 2:15 Take us the foxes,the little foxes, that spoil the vines:for our vines have tender grapes.
3. It is little foxes and beetting sins.
Beloved please don’t trivialize sin.
Remember Adam was sent out of Eden because of inconsequential sin.
Gen 3:23-24 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Remember Moses the great man of God did not get to the promised land because of besetting sin of anger.
Deu 3:23-27 And I besought the Lord at that time, saying, O Lord God, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. But the Lord was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the Lord said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter. Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
Remember Ananias and Sapphira his wife died inside the church, because of little foxes of lying.
Act 5:3-5 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whilst it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
Lucifer the most beautiful angel of God became the most ugly creature and sent out of heaven, because of pride. God killed thousands of His people in one day, because of sin of adultery.
1 Corinthians 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Beloved, listen to this charge again. It is not an advise. It is a compelling and binding charge with fearful consequences. SIN NOT.

Dearly beloved, God the Father in the old testament frowns at sin. Jesus Christ our Lord and savior and the blessed Holy Spirit did more in the new testament.
If there is a change that the scriptures emphasized much more in this period of grace. It is that anyone and everyone who profess religion should sin not.
Don’t ever ever forget this. Even if your preacher don’t emphasis it or trivialize it.
Now you know. Please don’t sin. This is because sinners inside the church shall face sever Judgement than sinners outside the church Jesus said so and you better believe, He meant it. See it yourself.
Luk 12:46-48 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Now having seen the consequences. See the compelling and unchanging charge of both our Lord and the Blessed Holy Spirit. Which is : SIN NOT.

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
Jn 8:10-11 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Rom 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Rom 6:13-15 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
Eph 4:21-26 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
1Pe 1:14-19 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Dearly beloved, having seen this, be determined to work out your salvation with fear.
Phi 2:12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Do you know the good pleasure of God? He grieved Jesus, His only begotten Son to save you from sin and eternal damnation. Always remember. Don’t ever ever forget.
Isa 53:10-12 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Friend, there is a change that serious minded believers like you waiting for the dawning rapture, like the wise virgin should give utmost attention to. It is: SIN NOT. See it yourself.

Why is this so? Very simple. No unclean thing or sinning churchgoer shall have access to heaven.
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
To help you in particular to be free in deed to sin and be part of the imminent rapture. See what our Lord did. He gave you unusual and sufficient grace.
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Friend, having done this, see His exhortation to you in particular. Please heed it and we shall see in heaven in Jesus name.
1Pe 4:1-2. Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
May the Lord help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
