Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 16, 2019. Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – Marvel not [ Do not be surprised ], my brethren [ believers ], if the world hate you. [ And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake ] – 1 John 3:13
Beloved, is it your desire to live to please God more for the rest of your life? This is a noble and commendable decision. The grace of God shall help you to make it your lifestyle till you see Jesus.
However, this decision is going to be contested by the devil and his cohorts both human beings and demons. See what the Bible says:
1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
The more righteous you become, the greater your adversaries and persecutions and fierce trials. All of these are engineered by satan for you to back out from God, but you shall not, until the good Lord shall help you to overcome.
The good Lord shall never be late to rescue you.
Job 5:19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
2 Corinthians 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
Beloved you should never be surprised or wondering why your own life should be permitted by God to go through such agony.
But then you are not the first believer to experience this. Even our Lord and savior Jesus Christ was not exempted.
Jn 12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
See what others too went through and be encouraged.
2Co 4:8 — 11 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
2Co 7:5 — 6 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
Beloved, remember Joseph thrown into dungeon for declining to do evil. The three Hebrews thrown into fiery furnace for refusing to bow down for idol.
Daniel was thrown into the den of Lions for standing for God. So if you have to suffer for following Christ rejoice and bear it patiently and joyfully.
Mat 5:10 — 12 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Act 5:40 — 41 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
Beloved, are you presently going through persecution for following Christ? I congratulate you. The Bible says you should marvel not or be surprised. Remember this passage and never ever forget.
Phi 1:28 — 29 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
See the gallant disposition of the three Hebrews and do accordingly.
Dan 3:14 — 18 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Dearly beloved, we are grateful to Christ, He remains a wonderful Redeemer and Master to us. He took time to inform all believers and your very self that following Him is worthwhile but full of oppositions from the devil.

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
Luke 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
Luke 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
John 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
Jn 15:18 — 21 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
Jn 16:1 — 2 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
The blessed Holy Spirit also affirm same.
Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Dearly beloved, always remember, don’t be surprised whenever you are persecuted or opposed for doing right.

Friend, if you really want to be part of the dawning rapture, then you should be prepared to suffer persecutions and oppositions until Christ comes.
You in particular shall not miss the rapture because of tribulations.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Friend you should determinedly endure the attacks until the imminent event. This is because of the enviable prize and rewards awaiting you in particular in eternity.
Rom 8:16 — 18 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
Friend, your decision and resolve till you see Jesus then shall be that nothing shall separate you from Him. God”s grace shall avail for you in particular in Jesus name.
Rom 8:35 — 39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
