Beloved may the God of heaven, find you to be truly biblically humble and trembling at His eternal words. May you not do anything that will make Him abase you, like He did for king Nebuchadnezzar.

Psalms 138:6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Daniel 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

King David and king Jehoshaphat were worthy examples. When God sent Nathan to David and Jehu to Jehoshaphat to reprove them sharply, they both trembled at God’s words and repented in dust and ashes. May the God of heaven give even you too, same grace in Jesus name.

Job 42:6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

King Jehoshaphat took a wrong decision that misled the whole nation of Judah,. When God sent the seer to correct him, he heeded the correction and went through the whole nation and brought them back to God. This action is what the Bible in both old and new testaments referred to as restitution. See it yourself.

Very very unfortunately, you have heard about restitution, but remained unperturbed. Undone restitutions will deny anyone and everyone, eternity with God. This was what our Lord, the truth personified said..May that not be your portion in particular in Jesus name.

Luk 19:8 — Luk 19:9 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

God commanded the entirety of His saints of all ages, most especially you to correct the errors they did against Him and their fellow human beings, before they were reconciled with Him.

Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Always remember almost all sins committed by your were against God and your fellow human beings.

Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

It is true that the blood of Jesus washes every sins away, but you are commanded to unhurt the human beings your sins had painfully affected. Let us see some examples.

1. When like Paul, you ignorantly insulted a leader you must do restitution.

Act 23:1 — Act 23:5 And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God’s high priest? Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

2. When you offended your spouse, a brother or sister or even your children, you must do restitution.

Mat 5:23 — Mat 5:24 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Marriage : when you take a second spouse in marriage, you must do restitution.

Gen 20:2 — Gen 20:7 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah. But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife. But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation? Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this. And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her. Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

Genesis 20:14 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

Stolen things.: When you stole in your place of work or any other place, you must do restitution.

Exo 22:1 — Exo 22:4. If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him. If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

Lies and fraud. When you defrauded to acquire anything, you must do restitution.

Lev 6:2 — Lev 6:5 If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the Lord, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour; Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein: Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found, Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.

Restitutions to the Lord. When you have defrauded somebody and can not locate him or her to correct your errors, you do restitution to the Lord.

Num 5:5 — Num 5:8 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty; Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed. But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the Lord, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
